Will need to come back - Edit
We had the brunch, which consisted on:
Read more- 2 pancakes (rose water and plantain banana)
- A tagine of vegetables with fonio
- BHB (Beignets/Haricots/Bouillie), a typical street food plate from Cameroon with fritters and kidney beans
- A crumble
- Hot drink and Ice Tea
Portions were very generous, so it was a great deal considering its price (25€).
The food was interesting, different to what you usually get in other Parisian vegan restaurants; however, my pancakes were a bit burnt, and I found the tagine a bit too salty.
The service also was very slow, as it took more than 45 minutes to get the first dish.
As they have just started the brunch, I imagine they are still learning how to manage it; but I hope they'll do it quickly!
In any case, I will come back to try their regular menu.
Pros: good value, original dishes

Really great time at l’embuscade, staff are really friendly. Food was delicious, not really common to find a Afro vegan restaurant in Paris. But I ll definitely recommend this place.

Capeverdean vegan - Edit
It's possible to enjoy the food on the newly extended on-street terrace. I have to admit the inside part of the bar-restaurant is a bit noisy because of the music. The proximity of the street and a nearby redlight might be annoying though.
Read moreThe service is perfect, the waiter was available and reactive.
I took a hot dog and a mafé that I enjoyed. The quantities are quite sufficient.
The prices are average for that kind of food in Paris.
I regret that ticket restaurant (not taken yet) will be limited to lunches.
Pros: capeverdean, service
Cons: noise

Unique in Paris - Edit
Having Afro-Caribbean vegan food is exceptional in Paris: it may well be the only place offering these specialties in the city. The food is good and unexpected, with huge portions. Due to Covid-19, we were seated outside on amenaged parking spaces, yet the setting was still lovely. Service is friendly, though slow.

Bar/restaurant/concert : creative vegan cuisine from the Cape Verde - Edit
Located in Paris, at 47 rue de la RocheFoucault, this bar restaurant is the first Afro Vegan bar / dancing specialized in Rhum !
Read moreArrived in November 2019, the chef Phoebe and the manager of the place Patrick were able to agree to offer a creative vegan cuisine from the Cape Verde Islands!
The legendary place of Pigalle is a bar, restaurant and concert hall.
The welcome is very warm, we feel a good party spirit.
During the COVID period, a large terrace made of recycled materials was used on the sidewalk and parking spaces.
The dishes are hearty, energized by the chef and served with a smile by all the members of the restaurant.
I particularly liked the peanut dumplings and its tomato sauce.
Having eaten this mdi well, I have not tested the hotdog or burger but they were very appetizing.
the sweet potato and yam fries are very good and light it changes from traditional fatty fries.
And for dessert, the bewitching "los diabolitos" mini crispy dark chocolate donuts with a peanut sauce were fantastic. It made you want to start again!
In short, an attractive, welcoming place, good typical dishes remixed by an incredible chef makes it possible to spend a superb evening with friends!
