Great place for vegan pub food.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find many plant-based options on the menu, which are all clearly labelled (with P for plant-based by default or PBO for plant-based option with modifications). Vegan options include 3 types of burgers, chicken sandwich, chicken wrap, quesadilla, burrito bowl, thai chili bowl, poutine, crispy cauliflower, as well a few brunch dishes. I loved the plant-based crispy buffalo ranch wrap! It was very flavorful, filled with vegan fried chicken, cheese, and veg, and it came in a generous serving. Their outdoor patio is quite nice, but it is facing a busy street. Convenient location on Whyte Ave.

Three and a half stars for the fun pub food

We stopped at Leopolds for drinks and pub style snacks. They are only a block down the street from vegan pub The Buckingham so I would say please support the vegan resto first. Having said that, Leopolds opens earlier than the Buck so if you are looking for pub food, Leopolds makes for a fun second choice. Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu, but look for “P” for plant based. We ordered drinks, a basked of “wings” and dill pickle fries. The “wings” were the frozen ones an a stick that you can find at the supermarket (Orii in specific) or as appetizers at some of the local vegan restaurants. What makes Leopolds a little unusual is you can order them with a choice of dry rub, and one of their 2 vegan dipping sauces. The fries were not the best I’ve ever eaten, but came with dill seasoning, fresh dill, chopped pickles, and vegan dill ranch dipping sauce. I’m not usually a fan of dipping my fries in mayo, but I am prepared to do it for anything pickle related. The one downside was their patio us right at street level on busy Whyte Ave so we were half deafened by the bozos driving by without mufflers. That’s not on the restaurant though, they are working with what they have.

Plant Based options 😘

Variety of plant based options, recently added new PB options too! Service was so slow for not being busy, wouldn’t recommend for a quick stop on a lunch break or when you have time constraints, but the food was stellar. Worth the wait if you have the time.

Pros: Lots of plant based options

Cons: Long wait

Pub food

I like that they have a seperate part of the menu for plant based food but it's all very heavy pub food. I tried the burger poutine and it was fine, wouldn't get it again tho..

Cons: Few options, Greasy pub food
