Really good! Definitely worth trying - Edit
The food here is heavenly! We really enjoyed the spicy shatta bomba especially. The dough is perfection and I love the middle eastern twist (founders are Lebanese and Palestinian). Wasn’t sure about the combo at first but it’s sooo good.
Read moreThe space is small, and it’s def more of a casual vibe. Vegan options are clearly marked, with vegan cheese being an extra $2.
It’s kinda pricey for pizza but it’s filling and worth the unique flavours!

Needs work - Edit
As a pizza fan I was excited to try Levant. The combination of middle eastern flavours with some pizza staples sounded really interesting!
Read moreFirst, make a reservation if there's a group of you. It's a small space with limited seating - which isn't a bad thing!
The downside to the space is its super cold on a winter night, especially if you're sitting by the door, and the seating is pretty uncomfortable.
Food wise, we ordered the Spicy Shatta Bomba with vegan cheese and the Upside Down 'Maqluba.'
Food arrived at different intervals, leaving some folk eating while others sat and watched them which took away from the 'dining out together' experience.
I was also asked if I would be ok taking the Maqluba even though the chef had accidentally put the crema on it if they scraped it off. I understand a kitchen wants to avoid waste, but at $20 for a 9" slice I'd like to get what I ordered.
The Bomba was tasty, with nice caramelized flavors popping against the tahini base.
The Maqluba was a little flavourless and underwhelming in comparison. We had accidentally been served a Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Dip starter which conveniently helped add some extra flavour.
At the end of dining (4 of us each had a main course, and 6 drinks all in), the bill was $200 with tip. We weren't asked if we wanted to split the bill and had to figure it out with etransfers after.
I don't love leaving a bad review, but while the server was nice, it was slow service with staggered dishes and relatively bland food in a really cold and uncomfortable space.

Bread and more bread - Edit
The focachia bread was good, but a little oily. I enjoyed the red pepper sauce. We had this while we waited for the vegan pizza. Pizza is the same bread with toppings. We tried 3 different vegan options- spicy Bomba was the best, followed by the potato truffle. The 3rd option was essentially vegan cheese. Not many veggies though - wish there was a salad, or a Mediterranean option with peppers, tomato, mushrooms etc. I didn't walk away feeling I had a complete meal. Update: Looks like there is an arugula salad you can ask to veganise that we didn't see

Pros: Spicy option , Friendly service
Levantpizza
Hi There, I’m assuming the third option was garlic confit & za’atar with vegan cheese, which as advertised is a cheesy garlic bread.
Read moreWe also have two salads on our menu so that’s not accurate.
It’s also difficult to read what you reduce down to just “for bread”. Focaccia/Sicilian pizza is a four day long process to make - thicker and much more involved than traditional thin crust pizza dough which you’ll pay the same amount for. Every ingredient on your “bread” is made from scratch including all of our sauces.

We didn't see a traditional salad on the menu. Just chickpeas

Lebanese Arugula Salad is on the menu. Both as a regular and vegan option.

We didn't see it because it didn't look like there was a vegan option. Thanks for the info

Fusion of flavours - Edit
I ordered from Levant for the first time yesterday, and I will absolutely be ordering again! The muhammara is sweet but with balanced acidity and umami. The potato batata is a happy marriage of flavours and textures from the western and eastern Mediterranean. Essentially, it’s focaccia topped with mushroom puree, sliced garlic potato, sauteed sherry mushroom, and fried sage. For a dollar more, you can get za’atar added to the crust, and I heartily recommend that. The brightness of the za’atar pairs well with the mushrooms and potato. I’d be remiss if I didn’t give special mention to the focaccia itself. Mildly sweet, it’s dense and chewy and slightly crispy around the sides. I would buy that bread alone if that were an option!
