I went here specifically to try some traditional style food. I got the Sarmale (cabbage rolls with polenta and soy(?) sour cream). Big portion, tasted really good, so worth it! The lady on staff was friendly and the food was here quickly. I sat outside but there is seating inside as well. They also have burgers and other fast food style options (did not try).

Die Portionen sind sehr groß und man wird auf jeden Fall satt.

The place has some very casual street tables and a cozy living room-style cellar to eat in. The food was great. We had pizza and two polenta-based Romanian dishes. It was wonderful to be able to taste vegan versions of local dishes. The staff was very friendly

I went here with both vegan and vegetarian friends, we enjoyed both some burgers as well as the traditional food. Portions were good and taste was great. Not the most cosy seating places, but you can sit both outside as well as inside.

Great place for tasty vegan food, friendly staff and calm seating area inside (you can't see it from the outside, but there's a cosy seating place on the lower level)
Read moreWe had a vegan version of the traditional Sarmale and mamaliga with "cheese", and the vegan "Mici" (which on its own would be not enough as a dish, but we shared both dishes and they made a great combo).
Both dishes were very tasty and we were happy to have the option to eat those in a way that is probably close to the original.
(And that's very hard to find those on Romania!!!!)
As a dessert we both took another Romanian classic, the papanași, because it seemed delicious, and luckily it was ;).

This place is great, I’m so happy with the food and the service! They serve traditional Romanian food such as Sarmale, Mici, and Papanasi as well as many different vegan burgers and pizzas.
Read moreI ordered the Sarmale; it was so delicious and the portion was so big I couldn’t eat it all. The Sarmale came with polenta and cashew cream. I also ordered fries that came with homemade ketchup and vegan mayo!
I had the Papanasi for dessert which I had seen everywhere and I was so grateful to be able to try it.
To be able to eat the traditional food was such a gift and the chef/owner was very kind, personable and funny too.
I ordered the mici to go because it was my last day here and I had to try it.
Everything was delicious, definitely recommend.

Level Up is a cute cafe/restaurant with a wide menu and cosy vibe. There are seats outside on the path, or (for us, preferable) a number of tables in the basement of the building.

Fully vegan small restaurant, lots of options, many pizzas, burgers and cakes. I wish I tried everything. My selection was Matcha latte, Papanasi, and a salad. My boyfriend had a Salami pizza and a Nectarul Zeilor.

This small restaurant has a lot of vegan dishes , by the way is totally vegan, and I came to adore it. we had a sharing experience with my co-workers and ate some pizza with Salami and a Smokey burger which was fantastic, a cake called Revival which was soo fresh. The lady from the kitchen is very pleasant and counseled us about the dishes in the menu and helped us to find the best . Though I would come back, to try other dishes in the menu.

I'm in love with this place. It looks unassuming, but the food is incredible. You can get both fast food and pasta here, as well as traditional Romanian dishes in a vegan version. You have to, absolutely have to try the papanași; I went back for it three times. One of the best things I've ever eaten.

Must-visit vegan restaurant in Bucharest offering Romanian classics - Edit
Level Up is one of the rare fully vegan restaurants offering Romanian classics, and it did not disappoint. I tried the VegFriptura Spare the Lamb, which was absolutely delicious. The seitan steak was exceptionally good, not dry or spongy at all. For dessert, I had the veganized version of the classic papanasi, which was also very tasty.

If I could give 7 stars here, I would. Initially when I got to the restaurant, everything looked ordinary, but nothing is ordinary about the food. The beyond meat burger was well prepared and tasted absolutely phenomenal! I nearly fell off the chair when I had my first bite! 🤩 I also ordered sarmale (traditional Romanian cabbage rolls) for take out! You will have to try it yourself. I am going back the next few days!
