Expensive cuisine

I was taken to the lotus vegetarian teahouse after a museum tour right next door. The premises is quite nice, located in beautiful west lake. You can sit in or outdoors and has a heavily Buddhist and Taoism mixed theme with a nice romantic, ambient feel.

I was somewhat disappointed with the food and really I don't think I could recommend this restaurant for the following reasons:

1. Price is really expensive. The minimum cost at a table is 300 rmb.

2. Portion sizes are not that huge. After eatting I was left still feeling hungry.

3. The taste. For the money the taste is quite bland. The food is decorated and prepared well but it feels like all decoration and no taste.

Pros: Beautiful location, Nice theme, Food is clean and looks good

Cons: Very expensive, Poor taste, Small portions
