Easy choice for Asian Vegan Food - Edit
1st time here. Parking found easily in parking lot. Indoor seating available. Friendly staff. All vegan. Ordered hot & Sour soup. Tasty. Regular portion size. The vegan boneless ribs were a decent portion size but were not what I was expecting. They had good flavor but I was hoping for something crispy. Their shumai was delicious and also a good serving size. Server suggested sweet and sour veggie meat. Good flavor and nice portion size with a side of white or brown rice. I enjoyed my food and wouldn’t hesitate to come back next time I am in the area

I am the only vegan in the house. When I said I was ordering food from Ms Ma Wok, no one wanted it. When I got home and let everyone taste it , they loved it and wanted more. I ended back at Ma Ma Wok the next night getting food for my entire family. The basil eggplant was the biggest hit.

This is by far one of, if not Thee best vegan restaurants in town. Service can be a bit slow but it’s irrelevant. The quality of food is very high, extremely tasty, lots of selections. You must visit Ma Ma Wok.

I stop by everytime I am in Charlotte and I am never disappointed. Not crazy expensive and there are a ton of options! My favorite is the salt and pepper King oyster mushrooms!

This is one of my favorite vegan places in Charlotte! The food is excellent every time we go here- even my non-vegan family loves it. The staff are some of the nicest people I've met; they're always so welcoming and kind. The menu has a large variety of food, and the portion sizes are relatively large, so we usually end up with leftovers. The dining area is a bit small, but we've never had an issue with not getting a seat. I highly recommend checking these wonderful people out!

It’s hard to find vegan fried rice that reminds you of the real thing, Ma Ma Wok is the one place I have found that does this successfully. We ordered the chicken lo mein, beef fried rice, chicken with broccoli, donuts and sesame balls. The sesame balls were savory, which was surprising but everything we got was delicious!

Staff is very well trained as to what is in the food. All dishes are vegan and you can get gluten free options. The tofu with vegetables is my usual go-to and I’ve also enjoyed the “drum sticks” and the spring roll.

As a person who still craves fish, the vegan fish here is what I've been searching for. I've had the brown sauce and sweet & sour sauce. The fish has an amazing flavor and fry on it. Their lo mein and Singaporean noodles are wonderful but the Dan Dan noodles tastes funny to me. I wish more authentic noodles were used but I absolutely think the flavor is more important to get spot on so I'm happy.

I try to go every trip to Charlotte. It's right next door to Sugar donuts which has a ton of vegan options, too.
Read moreWhen we called and asked what to order the staff was so friendly and asked specific questions like "do you want a fake meat or tofu or a lighter meal?" I really appreciated that question.
I've had nearly everything on the menu and it's all been worth many, many trips.

What a special thing to have! Everything was super tasty and portion sizes were generous. We got it delivered and it was PIPING hot still when it arrived! I really liked the Chinese kimchi. Noodles and veggies were cooked perfectly.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in years - Edit
We got takeout and it was such a cool experience to be able to order anything on the menu and not have to worry about having all the old favorites, without the cruelty! We got vegan beef lo mein, sesame tofu, fried rice and white rice. It was all delicious and filling without being heavy or greasy. Wish we could be in town longer to try more of the menu!!

Moving to Charlotte for Ma Ma Wok - Edit
Srsly debating moving to Charlotte just so we can eat at Ma Ma Wok's on a regular basis because omg it's soooo good!! Our favorite items; Salt & Pepper Oyster Mushrooms, Pineapple Curry Fried Rice, Chik'n Lo Mein, Fried Drumsticks & Chinese Donuts but we enjoyed everything we've tried from here. Amazing food. Highly recommend 🖤
