Sub-Par

We had pretty high expectations based on the positive reviews, but we were quite disappointed. The ambience is lovely and the presentation of the food and tea is very nice. However, the flavors were not good. The pastries appeared to be gluten-free, and were chalky and dry. The scones were gummy and hard to swallow. The potion had a very unpleasant dirt like flavor. Two of the four finger sandwiches were pretty good., but the other two were quite bad. The chickpea with mango chutney was the worst of the savory selection. It very dry and almost completely flavorless.

Pros: Nice Ambiance , Presentation

Cons: Flavors, Textures

Whimsical and fun

The afternoon tea service was such a fun and tasty experience. It started with a blue juice that turned purple, flavorful tea sandwiches, scrumptious scones and creative desserts. The Alice and wonderland theme carried through in the dishes. It was a unique and delightful afternoon.

Pros: Unique experience , Delicious

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea

Very fun unusual afternoon tea. The vegan afternoon tea was very tasty and inventive. The savory sandwiches and tea are unlimited. Does not require advanced notice for vegan afternoon tea option. A fun place to bring a friend from outside of London. Tourists should definitely try an afternoon tea (whether it be here or elsewhere) to experience English traditions.
