Good food

We had the Halušky which is a Slovakian gnocchi. It was delicious!
Friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating area with a much needed shadow for us on a hot day.

Cons: Kleine Mittagskarte, daher eher abends vorbeigehen

Room temperature food with no character

I had the peanuts tofu. The food was cold. Only rice was lukewarm.
Nithing is made to order. It is alredy made and just plated while you wait.
The tofu was dry. It came with some shredded cabbage, carrot, iceberg lettuce, cucumber and canned green peas.
If it wasn't for the hot sauce that I added, the dish would have not much flavour.
It is not a separate restaurant but a food court.
I won't be returning.

Thanks, Sabrina. I wasn't aware I was ordering a dish that's served cold.
Hot or cold, it wasn't tasty.

Great

Menu varies daily. I had a veganised version of a Slovakian dish. The server was great at explaining what the menu was.

Good stuff

Nice food (had a soup and bryndzové halušky, which is potato-gnocchi with cheese & bacon), large portions

Bit hard to find since it's inside a courtyard and down some stairs

Great taste

...but some items way too salty. Pea soup was great. Chicken tasted great but were total salt bombs. Slaw that came with it was great.

Loved it

The thing about Bratislava is that all the vegan food we tried was super delicious. This place was no exception we got to try the traditional Slovak dish and we loved it.
Note: we had difficulty finding the place as there is no sign on the street. You have to go through the outdoor seating area, all the way to the end and go down the stairs to order this delicious food. You get the food from any restaurant there and drinks from the café. They are all separate businesses but they share the seating area.

Fresh, authentic, mind-blowing

It was a bit hard to find (there is a bigger court, shared by 3 food providers - kitchens, the furthest one is Made with laf, you go downstairs), but the food is really really tasty.

Wife and I had Halushky (imagine tiny gnocchi with amazing cheese sauce and smoky beacon) and something I can just describe as 'schnitzel" with french fries and coleslaw.

The whole place has a super chill vibe and I can only recommend it - if you enjoy trying vegan versions of local foods.

Pros: Freshly made, Local foods veganized, Super super tasty

Cons: A bit hidden / hard to find initially, Nothing else really

one of the best

mostly traditional slovak recipes, combined with healthy bowls. the peas cream soup is my most favourite forever, and vegan bryndzove halušky are to die for!

Pros: excellent taste, nice location with various options, terrace

Great wee spot (if you can find it)

It’s located in the basement of ‘Possonium Street Food & Café’. Bar staff will take your drinks order but you have to go down to collect food yourself.

Menu is small, but changes weekly. The standout is definitely the halušky, a local dish which has been veganised. Mine was a little cold, but these things happen. The salty tofu bacon works SO well with the creamy dumplings. Fish and chips were great too, I think the fish was celeriac. Fries well seasoned and tartare sauce yum. Would’ve liked actual plates instead of the paper tubs. #Veganuary

Very delicious food, not so cozy

I tried the potato gnocchi and fish & chips. Both were very delicious. The options were limited to a handful of dishes. The atmosphere was not very cozy as the inside smelled of cigarettes which I find very unpleasant. The place may be hard to find; they share the same space as another bar.

Hidden vegan restaurant

It was slightly tricky to find the restaurant, as the main entrance was blocked by chairs.

Went for Burrito and Mexican bowl. Very tasty and interesting combination of flavors. Service was also very quick and friendly. Menu was written in English and Slovak.

Pros: Perfect portions for the price, Card payment

Cons: Maybe a bit confusing on how to find the place 😝

Yummy, with 5 food options

Nice stuff, but there was only one traditional meal. Food was yummy and filling, but not overwhelming. You order downstairs and eat at the inner courtyard next to other food stations that also offer vegetarian options. We paid nearly 10€ per meal.

Pros: All vegan, Next to non vegan spots for non-vegan friends

For traditional Slovak food

It is nice to be able to taste some traditional Slovak dishes while being vegan. I tasted the vegan halusky. It was tasty and filling. Not very special, but that might just be the how this traditional dish is. I did not taste any other dish.
When entering the food court, you have to get down by the stairs at the right end corner, to get to the kitchen of the restaurant Made with Laf. You order you food there. The drinks have to be ordered in the court yard self. The staff of Made with Laf is friendly and there is a quick service. The staff of the court yard made a more uninterested apparence.

Pros: All vegan , Good prices , In a foodcourt

Cons: Tables in foodcourt in middle of cigarette smoke , The restaurant is all vegan, the food court isn't

Not satisfied

We had the choice only a soupe or a kind of burritos.
The burritos was fine but nothing special in it and we felt hungry.
We would expect at least a side. Then I visited a shop next to it to order french fries because no vegan hamburger was available.
I asked only french fries. The staff told me that it was not really possible to serve this.
At the end the cooker gave me french fries... not fried (so boiled potatoes).
There is better place not too far with better meals for the price.

Carefully crafted menu

Super good, tried almost everything over the years and although the restaurant changed a lot and moved too (if I am correct), the quality stayed. Definitely recommend the pea soup and if you catch it on the menu, then go for the tempeh sweet red cabbage burger.
However, since moving to the new place, it's not as comfortable as it was before e.g. having to walk up the stairs with your food, small interior.

Very tasty!

Find yourself a seat in this food court and look for the “made with laf” stall downstairs. We tried the curry and the halušky, which were both excellent! Good portions and inexpensive, very much recommended!

Good food, good portion

We came to Made with Laf without reservation on a Friday evening and all tables were taken or reserved. Luckily we still got a small table by the entrance.

Made with Laf is a part of a bigger place where you can order different food. You order by the Made with Laf counter and you will get a buzzer that will let you know when the food is ready.
For drinks a waiter will come by and ask what you would like to drink.
Keep in mind you have to pay both separate at different counters.

Now the food. It was tasty and the portion was big. There was not a lot of choices (I believe 4-5 dishes) but that’s not a problem if you ask me.
The traditional Slovakian dish was really delicious. The curry also had great taste.

All together it’s a nice place to eat, although little confusing in the beginning. You might want to reserve a table ahead of time.

Pros: Tatsy, Good portion , Affordable

Cons: Little confusing

Big recommendation

I can only repeat what others wrote before ;)
I've been there twice, one time with a non-veg friend. We both really liked it, it's also perfect for grabbing some drinks after dinner. Definitely worth a visit!

Banging halušky and orher

Came back after a year as I remember taht aaaawesomw vegnaised Halušky I had here the other time.
This year I went for green peas soup and cold pasta salad. Both were delicious.
Both times I ate here I had to pack the food to take away as the portions are generous.
Surely be back next time in Bratislava.
The only minus for me is the actual place “food garden” sort of market, as there’s grill stole with meat and you can smell it.

Ok, need to change my review! In one week in Slovakia I managed eat here four times. For my last two visits the meat stall was gone and the food was too good so 5th star to be added! I even had the more Czech traditional dish “svickova” which is one of my favourite meals.

After another year I came back during the summer (08/2021) and can report no changes. Still thee most amazing food in Bratislava!

Well I’ll surely be back!

Best vegan place in Bratislava

20 minutes walking from the Old Town, this place totally worth the visit

We went there twice on our stay in Bratislava

At first it was hard to find the location, it's on a self-service foodhall with 3 other kyosks

Made With Laf stand is located downstairs. Grab a free spot then go order your food

On the first day we arrived around 8 PM and there was no fish & chips or halusky, better be there earlier

We ordered a Thai curry and a Meatball dish, both amazing

On the second day, we ordered halusky, a traditional Slovakian potato dumplings with fried smoked tofu. It's delicious, superb

Great price for value

Pros: Delicious food, Great price

Cons: Hard to find
