Tasty Food, But... - Edit
We've been to Mama P's numerous times over years gone by, and, like many vegan or vegetarian eateries, it has continued to adjust to reflect the conditions.... that is to say it is less vegan-centric and more expensive than it used to be.
Read moreThe food there is still great - it serves delicious treats, Darks coffee, and a number of fully vegan or vegan-option dishes; including an expansive gluten-free selection.
The price and portion sizes leave much to be desired though - most recently the everything-fruit waffle, which is around ~$25 was pretty sparse all things considered.
The staff are friendly, service good and the cafe itself is fairly modest and clean. They also have a small mini-market wall selling a variety of vegan, eco-friendly and other food and wares of that like.
It's good, just not great. And Lake Macquarie/Newcastle locals don't have a lot of choice - so this still remains a pretty good option on the whole. More accurately about a ~3.5/5

A nice looking menu. I ordered off uber eats and had the vegan Turkish sandwich. It had cashew cheese, pumpkin, spinach and sun dried tomatoes. It was pretty good. I would love to try more of the menu especially the nachos.

I was given a horrible PLASTIC drink container and a cheap plastic straw, for takeaway, ie smoothie and was shocked they wouldn’t of given me a ( BI- degradable) containers these days? not even a bi - degradable straws as there is some really good products out there now? Mmm #Veganuary

They have a range of vegan options as well as gluten free. The focus is largely on whole foods so the food is delicious and good for you too! The presentation of all the menu options is gorgeous. Their signature raw desserts are incredible and 10/10 would recommend!! They sell some eco friendly home and beauty products too which I thought was neat! I only wish they had longer opening hours :)

i ordered the green peace bowl and the matcha latte was so delicious and it came out so quickly ! my non vegan friend ordered the all fruit waffles that had coconut ice cream and she loved them! definitely coming back again

We found this little cafe on Happy Cow when driving home today... we had the ‘nourish salad bowl’ with garlic mushrooms & roasted tomatoes then finished off with a toasted muffin 😋 the food was fresh & the cafe clean, the staff were extremely friendly. We will definitely be going back...

Scrumptious food that satisfies both eyes and stomach! Staff is super friendly and most food is vegan. We had the poke bowl with tofu and the granola with coconut whip: soooooo good! We had a taco bowl and cake cutoffs to go. If you're here: go!
