good traditional food

A very nice, intimate place to have dinner. For vegan menus, you need to call ahead. I was there in Winter, the small hamlet was covered in snow, adding an extra charm to the place, an old, traditional stone house. I had chicory with chestnuts and walnuts, caponata (a traditional preserve of tomatoes, celery, onions and aubergines), and lentils a la provençale as an entrée, followed by a hearty bean soup and oven-cooked red cabbage with pinenuts. Fresh mandarins as a dessert. Organic red wines from Piedmont.

2020.08.08: great service and ambiance as usual, and plenty of simple but delicious vegan recipes. We had a starter with “al carpione” courgettes, artichokes and bell peppers, followed by pasta with vegetable pesto. We then opted for a sampling of red cabbage sautéed with pinenuts, and Occitan salad (boiled potatoes and capers). As a dessert, fresh berries with lemon juice. Very welcoming staff, highly recommended.

Pros: good food, friendly staff
