What a shame - Edit
I had anticipated a positive experience at the restaurant, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Both my non-vegan friend and I felt unwell after our visit. The food was served cold, and the customer service was lacking. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Used to be better - Edit
We do still appreciate the rare vegan cafe in Riga that you can find, but unfortunately this one lately has been disappointing. We used to love it but in the past year food doesn't taste as good anymore but we hope for better days to come. There is definitely room for improvement.

Nice food but a bit austere - Edit
We visited Mazā Terapija for lunch on a Saturday. We were expecting the options outlined in some of the other reviews but were told that they were serving the breakfast menu until 4pm. I'm guessing that it's a weekend thing, but it's worth being aware of.
Read moreIt's 100% vegan so there were lots of options to pick from. And everything sounded good! After some deliberation, I went for the tempeh bowl, while my wife had the waffle with scrambled tofu. Both were very good.
I'm only giving them four stars as it was all a bit austere - featuring plain white walls, bare floors & uncomfortable seating. Service is a bit grumpy too. But, hey, the food was super tasty!

Wow! Incredibly good - Edit
I visited during lunch time when there were only 4 options; a soup, a salad, a sandwich, and a risotto. I had the 6.80 combo of salad with soup, and was amazed at how delicious everything was.

I enjoyed it so much I bought a pastry on the way out.

Excellent unique vegan only restaurant - Edit
We ate there four times. The first time we had the small Falafel Plate for starters and the Soy Schnitzel for mains. All dishes were delicious. The second time we had the small Mini Bread Slices with Carrot Salmon starter, and the Kebab Bowl and Furious Burger for mains. We had a berry based Cheesecake too for dessert. Again all were delicious. The third time we again had the Mini Bread Slices with Carrot Salmon. For mains we had the Herringless Bowl and the BBQ Soy. With the Best Cake in the World for dessert. Super delicious again!!! The fourth time we had the small Falafel Plate for starters again. For mains we had the Mushroom Risotto and the Chicken Burger. Another cake for dessert. The starter and mains were again delicious but the Cookie Dough Cake for dessert this time was too dry or possibly stale. Overall, generally it’s the combination of tastes that made the experiences so unique. Excellent value for money too. Great service. Highly recommended.

Minha visita ao Mazā Terapija foi bem agradável. Havia planejado tomar um café e pedir algum doce, mas nāo resisti e acabei também experimentando o folheado salgado. Tudo muito gostoso.

I can really recommend the Schnitzel! We liked it a lot. It was a little pricey though (which is absolutely fine considering the big portions though).

Great vegan food - Edit
One of two best vegan cafes in Riga. This one is the most affordable. Great food selection. They have daily lunch specials. Amazing desserts and baked goods - especially savory pastries. They also have salads to soyshlik to go. Highly recommended!

Lovely all vegan café with tasty food - Edit
All vegan Café/Bakery/Restaurant with a variety of different options for lunch.
Read moreI guess the menu changes daily, but I’m not sure about that.
You can chose between sandwiches (warm or cold) and cooked meals.
The pasta I’ve ordered came with a salad and was fine.
What really got me me was the cake selection.
It’s huge and there are so many different special cakes and baked goods to chose from.
The napoleon’s cake was 10/10! Absolutely mouthwatering.
Many seats in- and outside. You can pay cash or by card. Fair pricing.
Pros: Amazing cake selection , Good prices , Freshly made food

International vegan cuisine with a Baltic touch - Edit
I’m so glad Mazā Terapija is back! I already said my goodbyes last September with the divine “no-honey” cake… and the eggplant “herring” dish with beetroot, cucumber, and oven baked potatoes took me back to my childhood, too… I was surprised to find out that they’re back in business from January 2024 already, so on my next visit in August I knew I had to have another cake and coffee here. This time, the raw avocado cake — a beautiful balance of nutty crunch and velvety avocado. If you fancy something savory, but light, then I recommend the tempeh salad.
Read morePros: Tasty food, Sometimes Baltic dishes, Nice space (inside and outside)
Cons: Indoors gets crowded during lunch, Passive service might put some visitors off

Great food and massive portions - Edit
We went here twice during our stay. The first time was quiet but during a Friday evening it was much busier and harder to get a table. The first time we got a soy schnitzel (was a bit dense and didn’t need the cheese on top) &a herring-less bowl (perfect). Crispy potatoes come with a lot of the dishes and they’re amazing. The portions were massive and no we didn’t get to try their amazing looking desserts. We learnt from this and got a Soy crunchy tofu burger and a falafel plate (small) on the next visit and squeeze in some blueberry cake.

Mazā Terapija is a nice café in Riga you should visit if you're interested in vegan food. The staff is very nice and the food is good. One problem is that the lunch menu is limited. The food and drinks have a good quality and there are delicious cakes!

Absolutely loved the food there. Solyanka was maybe a bit salty and greasy, but traditional solyanka has always been rather greasy. The taste was very good otherwise. Tempeh bowl was tasty and light, a nice summer meal. Cakes were amazing! 💜 Can't wait to visit again.

And yet they managed to take 1h to serve a plate with 8 falafels and some salad. Falafels are also quite cheap normally, yet they are over 8€ here!

Very poor - Edit
1 hour wait for one plate of falafel to share... Confused and slow service, everyone seemed genuinely disenterested
Read moreEach table next to us waited long time as well with food arriving at random time and take away boxes as people were fed up of waiting.
Once falafel arrived, it wasn't even nice. Wouldn't go back, which is a shame because I really wanted to like it.

Delicious food, but it was really hard to get past this sour taste in our mouths given the very bad service we had at the counter today (it was bad!).
