Consistently Good - Edit
MeeT is such a great consistent place for bomb vegan food. I've never been let down eating at any of the MeeT locations. I do wish that this location had the breakfast menu, but that was honestly okay. Tried the Mac Burger as well as the Philly Cheesesteak Poutine and both were so freaking good. They also have great drinks. Highly recommend bringing vegan and non vegan friends here alike. They won't be disappointed!

A vegan stable in the city - Edit
There are a few MeeTs, but the one on Main is the one most of us know. It has some great dishes, a decent cocktail list, and a relaxed vibe. Whenever we're in the city we end up here and it's always nice.

Not it - Edit
I truly do not understand the hype of this place. I had a few non vegan locals boast about Meet on Main so I thought wow it must be good and was so excited to try it. I went to Meet in Gastown first and wasn’t impressed but still came here since this was the location I had heard about and pretty much had the same type of experience as the Gastown location.
Read moreThe drinks took just as long to come as the food did (looong time) and out of the four people in our party who ordered a drink, no one liked what they ordered.
The food just really is nothing special. I ordered the BBQ burger after being told by the server it was the most popular item and my god was it ever bad. Specifically the bbq sauce. It was just smothered in the worst bbq sauce I’ve ever had. I took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore but was never asked if everything was okay or not by the server. What a waste of money. I think this place is fine to meet up with friends and such as a local but I’m just surprised on this great reputation it has.
Lastly, as we were waiting to pay, our server was cashing out the table beside us and was telling them how bad she wants to go to the Calgary Stampede this year and is going to make it out. When she came to us, I said you must not be vegan, and she said “I am but its going to happen wether I go or not”. That baffled me.

Must go whenever I’m in Vancouver - Edit
A trip to Vancouver is never complete unless I visit MeeT. I have often asked for them to expand to Toronto because they would dominate the vegan scene there if they did. The cashew based nutritional yeast Mac and cheese is amazing, as is their burger and incredible apps. Only complaint is that I am so full and sleepy afterwards. A true guilt-free pleasure
Read moreThey also have an incredible selection of beverages and desserts. They are usually quite busy (well deserved) so you may have to wait for a table during peak hours.
Trust the many 5 star reviews- this place is excellent
Pros: Incredible vegan appetizers , Great Korean fusion dishes, Lots of beverages and desserts
Cons: Small tables and can be quite crowded , A bit pricey

Great menu - Edit
Hibiscus limeade is very good and refreshing. The MeeT Burger is a seitan-based house-made patty, topped with mushrooms, fried onions, tomato slice, lettuce, served with fries (good, crunchy) and chipotle mayo plus kale salad with vinaigrette. My second visit, I had the Kalamari Caesar Salad - I would prefer more romaine and less (or no) kale, but the dressing, croutons and vegan calamari are really good. (There are many other menu items with kale in them.) I saved room for a Cronut - served warm, a crispy croissant/donut, filled with Bavarian creme, not sickly sweet, a good treat.

Sidewalk seating (on rather noisy Main Street) and plexiglass-partitioned tables inside. Two benches for group seating. Pleasant staff.

Definitely Comfort Food - Edit
Definitely recommend this chain of restaurants. It’s so nice to have another comfort food place in Vancouver! I have gone probably 10 times by now maybe more. Love that they have sustainable takeout containers. Also their presentation is phenomenal. Definitely lives up to being called “Best Vegan Restaurant in Vancouver”. It’s great that they have 3 locations so you can pick which is closest to you. I think it’s very inclusive by letting their servers kinda pick what they want to wear as well.

Best MEET place by far - Edit
This one on main has by far the best tasting food - the other Meet places left my stomach uncomfortable with the food being overly salty and oily.
Read moreHere, we had the nacho fries, crispy chikun burger, and the double-double burger. Everything was great, not salty or oily which was fabulous as I had my "concerns". I wished that the chickun burger was thicker (mushroom wise), as I feel like I was just eating delicious crunchy batter - maybe a portobello mushroom would have been better.
Having said that, I prefer the "Meet" environment in Yaletown more as it feels more spacious, not as noisy and the bar is nicer - but I will go to Main for the food above everything :)
Cons: noisy

This place puts it all together - Edit
After my first time at a Meet location (Meet on Main) I wasn't too sure what the hype was about. I had a caesar salad that wasn't bad by any means, but didn't quite give me the umami burst I'm looking for in a caesar. After this time, I'm on board. The service was fantastic--the waitress friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and the place was beautiful. I had a delicious butter chicken poutine and the corn chowder, a soup that I expected to a bit of a low effort offering for most restaurants. But actually, it was genuinely delicious and interesting, and had a subtle fire-roasted aftertaste that I couldn't quite place.

Great vegan comfort food - Edit
Been to three locations a lot while I lived there, both for dine in and takeout occasionally too. Sometimes super busy and a bit too loud, usually a wait at dinner rush too. Staff was always friendly and portions were good. Food was tasty but they did use nuts in some dishes, although they were happy to accommodate around that. The calamari and angry burg were my two favourites from here!
