Worst Avocado Toast ever - Edit
I had the Avocado Toast without cheese from the menu. Wanted to eat inside but they brought it wrapped in lots of plastic. It was nearly impossible to eat. I cannot recommend this place at all.

"Do not come" --- Kamala Harris 2021 - Edit
The only thing they have is sushi (you can get vegan sushi else where and cheaper) and salad.
Read moreThe website/Google mentions a cauliflower wrap and vegan brownies. Those don't exist.
Unless you are willing to omit 3 things in a wrap and still pay the full price, it's not worth it.

Underwhelming - Edit
My wife and I each got a salad that was very underwhelming in all ways. Not very many vegan options and the place is expensive and has small portions for the price.

Something for everyone - Edit
Since the last time I was here, this place did a major overhaul and the food improved by leaps and bounds. Today it is like three little restaurants in one. There;s a vegetarian section, a meat section, and a bakery/cafe.
Read moreThe restaurant itself although it can get crowded has plenty of seating and has a nice cafe vibe to it, great for a casual lunch.
While they have already packed salads, my wife decided on a variation of the southwestern salad so they were happy to make her a fresh one on the spot and it tasted fresh and delicious. I had the Special Kale Pizza. The size of the slice was tremendous and it was a meal by itself. While the Kale was interesting, it wasn't New York Pizza and could use some work on the dough and cheese. We also tried the Asian noodle Salad, which had a lot of bean thread noodles and sesame in a light and pleasant asian inspired dressing, it was good, but not in the same league as something you could get in one of Boston;s Asian veg places.
Overall, the food here ranges from average to good. If you're looking for an inspired vegetarian (or vegan) culinary experience, then this isn't the place for you, as nothing will blow your mind here, but if you are a vegetarian and want a nice place for a lunch with plenty of options, including for carnivore friends, than this place is a great choice. We really enjoyed our lunch at Milk St and would happily go again next time we're in Bean Town.
Pros: Lots of options for vegetarians, Good Prices and casual atmosphere, and Kosher too!!
Cons: Only open in the morning/afternoon

Not the Best in the Area for Vegans - Edit
I've eaten here once or twice with a coworker, but despite a good number of vegetarian options, there aren't actually many vegan options. It's more of a Kosher place than a vegetarian restaurant. None of their sandwiches are vegan by default, so I had to get a South of the Border without cheese, and I got some soup that was vegan. Another time I did the make your own salad deal, which is fine, but definitely not unique in the area (Cafe Hemshin has more options and they don't charge extra per topping either).
Read moreWith so many other decent vegan lunch options nearby (i.e. Falafel King, Cocobeet, Boloco, Chipotle, D'Guru, even sushi at Walgreens), it's not a place I go out of my way to eat at.
Pros: salad bar doesn't charge for toppings, some vegan soups, my coworker likes it
Cons: not many vegan options, a little confusing ordering system, crowded at lunch
