Tasty sets - Edit
I had the mapo tofu and loved it. My friends who are not vegan had the other dishes and enjoyed them too. Highly recommend!

Yummy food - Edit
We visited Shimokitazawa. This place was a little hard to find, but the food was worth it, I ordered a set with soup and a rice dish, super yummy, loved it, very tasty!!! I ordered the soy milk with red bean, tasted good, didn't love the texture as a drink. They have several options at a reasonable prices. No wait time.

Excellent!! - Edit
I wasn’t very hungry, but I wanted to have something since I was in the area. I got a small plate of dumplings and an iced tea.
Read moreI wish I had more time to check out the rest of the menu. The dumplings were the best I’ve ever had. Very reminiscent of my pre-Vegan days on the East Coast of the USA, Chinatown in Boston.

Good, simple food - Edit
I’m not a big fan of Asian food, but I liked this one, the restaurant is fully vegan, the food was simple but tasty, and the pineapple cake (kinda cookie), was delicious. Also the staffs were very friendly.

Wonderful Little Restaurant - Edit
This was my second visit at lunchtime, and I had the Vegan Chopped Chicken Rice lunch set. It was delicious, with a perfect amount of sauce, and topped with fresh cilantro, green beans, and fried onions! The sprouts and greens went well with the remaining rice after I finished the vegan chicken. And the soup and dumplings were just a little spicy and very tasty!

Solid hong kong style fare - Edit
I am no expert on hong kong style cuisine, but the food at Ming Teng hit the spot. The set offers a lot of variety of configurations and you get a buzzer for when your food is ready. You pay when you order and the food comes fast, so a good option if you have limited time.

Amazing Spot - Edit
This place was fantastic. I had the soy milk soup which had just the right amount of spice, the tofu rice and my partner and I split the azuki bean soy milk yogurt for dessert and that was super tasty!! Would strongly recommend.

Really nice quick meal - Edit
I had the White Mapo Tofu, I've always wanted to try mapo tofu and I'm so glad they had a non spicy version! It even came with a soup not sure what kind but I couldn't drink it as I found it spicy.
Read morePros: Friendly staff, Reasonably priced and super quick food!, Cute in a really lovely location of Shimokitazawa

Really great chinese food - Edit
I’ve been to Ming Teng twice now and both times I’ve really enjoyed it. Both the mapo tofu and “chicken” rice are great, and their tofu pudding is extremely good. Their gyoza are really realistic for a mock-pork dumpling, which I liked, but could be a little too realistic for some.

Great dumplings - Edit
Great spot for lunch or dinner in Kitazawa. Everything we tried was delicious. The portions are rather small but inexpensive so you should get a couple of dishes at once and try lots of different flavours. Make sure to stop by during their lunch hours, as they have a good deal for a set lunch menu.

Excellent vegan restaurant in Shimokitazawa - Edit
Fully plant-based restaurant in Shimokitazawa. The lunch set will fill you up and satisfy your taste buds. Good selection of a la carte dishes too, and drinks. Worth seeking out.

Best Savory Soup - Edit
Not everything we tried was a standout, but the things we loved we REALLY loved. For lunch, I shared the vegan minced pork rice, soupless noodle, and savory soy milk soup. The savory noodle, while pretty simple was perfection - soy milk base with soft tofu, twist Chinese fried dough, and pickled mustard. So good. The cold noodle dish was pretty good and well seasoned. The mince and rice dish was just fine.
Read moreFor dessert, we tried both a bowl and a drink. The pineapple bowl was so good. I think what made it better than the drink was the pineapple giving more complexity to the sweetness of the rest of the bowl. If you're a 100% sweet type of person, the strawberry and jasmine drink may be fine.
Order at the counter. When we went, one of the employees was fluent in English which helped with asking questions and ordering.
It's also in Shimokitazawa district which is a cool area to walk around afterwards.

The place never disappoints. Always tasty, they are bringing tofu dishes to the next level! Also a great dessert menu. only one remark, they don't have salads. Some small green salad would be perfect 🤤

Couldn't stop eating - Edit
The food was great! I got the chopped chicken rice and minced pork rice. The soup that it came with was delicious as well! The boiled dumplings with the hot sesame sauce are a must try! The pineapple cakes were dissapointing, a little over done and more like cookies. The soy milk pudding was good though. I went with someone from Hong Kong and she thought the food was great, but more like Taiwanese cuisine.
