Prepared using seasonal vegetables such as carbonara with original vegan cheese, bolognese spaghetti with vegetables, caprese salad with tofu cheese, vegetable terrine, cutlet of miscellaneous grains, and hamburger steak of lotus root, etc. (It may take some time for the food to arrive at your table, so is suggested you are not in a hurry and perhaps can enjoy their natural wines while waiting.) Would not recommend - Edit
1) They charge table fee of 350 yen per pax which we were not informed.
Read more2) They don’t allow you to order individual dishes but must be the same for all members to save cooking time.
3)They charge for everything you ask for such as butter to go with the bread they serve / cheese for spaghetti.
(Not sure if this is standard in Japan but definitely not in Singapore)
4) Their vegetarian pasta is just plain spaghetti with carbonara sauce. There was no vegetable or whatsoever in it.
5) Restaurant was pushy to get us to order drinks when we did not really want to.
This is by far the simplest meal but most expensive I had in Tokyo!
I would boycott this establishment and go at your own risk!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Nothing properly served , Just plain spaghetti, nothing inside , Imagine the same dish for all members of the famil

Exceptional Italian - Edit
A wonderful place for a special occasion. I had the plant based dégustation with wine pairing, and every course was delicious. The smoked tofu ‘carbonara’ was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. It’s a very small space so you can see the chef working in the kitchen, which is very interesting in itself.

OK Italian if you're in the area - Edit
I tried out this place because I had a spa session in the area. My boyfriend and I both had a set menu which was 4,000 yen tax, which consisted of 2 appetizers, 1 pasta, and 4 main dishes. My boyfriend had a non-vegan menu, and I the vegan one. Momento did alright, not really an exciting flavour profile. Friendly staff though and cosy atmosphere and area.
Read moreFYI: If you don't go for the set menu you would possibly have to wait a while - see info I got from the restaurant by e-mail: "It's about providing two dishes (1 is vegan and the other is non-vegan) but will be prepared by one chef, so there is a possibility that one of you will have to wait"
Pros: Cosy atmosphere , Lovely location, Friendly staff
Cons: Bland flavours, wished for more excitement , Small venue, room for max 10-12p, Ingredients weren't properly handled

A real tret - Edit
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars because although it's not fully vegan, they have created a vegan tasting menu that is original, creative, delicious and respectful of both Italian and Japanese cuisine.
Read moreI am Italian myself and normally I would avoid Italian restaurant outside of Italy, we were invited by a friend so went along without much expectation.
Our tastebuds were blown away by the dishes on offer.
There were many highlights, the ingredients were so tasty and prepared with care. Our meat eating friends were quite shocked that vegan food could be so attractive and delicious.
My personal favourites were the appetizers and the yuba-meat, which is the first time I see and it works incredibly well.
It is on the expensive side but it's worth it, we tend to forget how much work goes into well prepared cuisine.

* the title should have been " a real treat" .
