Inexpensive - Edit
The restaurant is away from the busy road, a little hidden but still easily accessible. The breads (parathas)were freshly prepared. The garlic bread was very good. The mint paratha had mint powder inside. The spinach and pea mutter was ok

We went to this restaurant twice, because we liked the taste so much. It is kept simple and it's a bit hard to find but the food tastes really good!

Really tasty food. The thali on the menu is vegetarian, but ask and they will make a vegan version.

North Indian food - Edit
Vegetarian restaurant that opens early with fair prices and understands vegan with with many vegan options to choose from. Hard to go wrong with aloo gobi (North Indian style cauliflower potato curry). Another plus for me is that it sits well off the street away from the hustle and bustle of Thamel.

Nice calm place - Edit
A lot of nice options of Indian cousin. Some dishes have garlic and onion, but some of them do not. Just ask them.

Good place to eat - Edit
It’s a nice place with some vegan options. Pretty affordable and food is delicious, but it’s very, very hard to find, even second time I went there, I barely found it

Good Indian food - Edit
I tried the Thali. The "mixed veg curry" didn't really convince me (70% potataos), but it was okay, and the rotis were excellent, the dal too. Friendly staff. Windows would be nice though. Good value for Thamel standards.

Nice food, local setting - Edit
Located at the end of a dark walkway it's a little intimidating to enter, but the waiters were friendly enough and locals seemed to like the place. I ordered biryani, which came without the dried fruits, nuts and seeds that I'm used to so it was basically a fried rice. Still tasted good. Prices are pretty good for the Thamel district.

Great vegan options! - Edit
This modest restaurant is frequented by large groups of Indian people, always a good sign - and they are usually keen for a chat, too. The menu is large and they offer many dairy and egg free options, all of which are so tasty, large portions too! Highly recommended.

Awesome - Edit
I put off eating here as it was hidden down the end of a darkened arcade. But I'm glad I gave it a try! The friendly waiter helped me choose among the curries and breads for some options that don't have cheese or butter. Then the food came - the portions were generous and the taste was awesome! Very pleased. Will come again.

Great food - Edit
Went to this place about four times and each time I had a good experience with the food and staff. It wasn't the same waiter but both of them understood very well when I asked about the ingredients. The cauliflower and potato curry with plain rice was my favorite dish. The staff was very polite and I didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive and the prices are cheap.
Read moreThe place is at the end of a small corridor, so look out for the sign on the street. There were some nice quotes hanging on the walls and a fan in the ceiling. Would come back again :)
Pros: Good and tasty food, Cheap and Polite staff, Quiet

I enjoy the set thali there regularly.. They do it al vegan, gluten free and no oil the way I like it with extra rice. They are quite quick to understand your needs.
