Tasty noodle soup - Edit
The menu is great! Quite a few typical dishes such as mapo tofu and yellow curry. When it comes to the specifically Taiwanese dishes, they have mock duck and vegetables.
Read more❗️Important note: after speaking with the owner, I was told that the duck and vegetable dish (in the specials list) is only marked as (V) not (VV) because the mock duck is fried in the same oil as the other meat.
Generally speaking, dishes marked with (VV) are purely vegan, whilst some of the dishes marked (V) are vegetarian by nature but may cross-contaminate with meaty oil. ❗️
The vegan noodle soup was pretty tasty, and was an assured vegan-friendly dish.
The potstickers were fantastic.
I’d recommend going, but it’s worth enquiring about cross-contamination 🌿

Pros: Decent menu, Very friendly staff, Good info available
Cons: Cross contamination with meat for (V) dishes, A little on the expensive side

Potstickers 10/10 - Edit
Went there spontaneously and was lucky to get a spot. The vegan noodle soup was solid but the potstickers were amazing. Never had dumplings like this, try them if you go here!

So so delicious! Would rate 5 starts if possible - Edit
Ordered takeout from here and I was so pleasantly surprised. There are a few tables to sit but it's not huge inside. The restaurant is super cozy and family-run. We tried the eggplant stir-fry and the vegan duck and oh my god they were both so delicious. The eggplant just melted in your mouth perfectly and the seitan duck was so soft and flavourful. Really recommend checking this place out.

Tasty, but limited vegan options - Edit
Some things pn the menu that are marked as vegan option available are actually fried with non-vegan things, but the staff informed about that.

I was there today and all the dishes are marked now correctly. they informed me on the fact that they fry some dishes in the same oil as other things, therefore they are not vegan. Thanks:)

Vegan duck ! - Edit
Amazing authentic Taiwanese food. They have vegan options which don't shy away from the flavour. I have been educated by a Taiwanese friend that veganism is common in Taiwan due to religion. No wonder they make amazing food here at nihao YAO

Solid food, genuine effort, family run - Edit
Most of the options aren't vegan, but there are a few vegan dishes, and they aren't lazy. The dishes we had are yummy and the effort is clear. Plus I heard good things from ease dropping on the asian people around me vouching for the authenticity of the dishes as a whole.
Read moreThe mock-duck I had is a soy product but the combination of soy texture and the sauce and vegetables made it pause for a moment wondering if it's actually soy. But it is. One of the owners was very friendly with offering to show me.
It's very small, and they don't do bookings, so you might have to get lucky if you turn up during busy hours. Also they'll be hesitant about giving you a larger table if there's only 1-2 of you, so hope there's an appropriately sized table for you too.
Its near-ish a metro station if you're staying on the opposite side of Copenhagen.
Pros: Yummy, decent variety, not lazy
Cons: more focus on animal meat over vegan options
