I accidentally found this place when I went to the Baltimore Christmas Market. Plenty of good options to choose from, fast service. Best pumpkin soup I've ever had and the cheese sandwich was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Oleum was so good. Even the next day as leftovers. The staff was super helpful if anything was confusing or wrong on the delivery platform. I went to pick up food one time. Next time I will sit in. The restaurant was super quaint, cute, and popular.

Local, plant-based food at the Harbor?!?! - Edit
This place was delicious. I had the chicken pesto wrap, which at first I thought would be overwhelmed by the greens, but thst was not the case. It was light and refreshing. Our table split the shishito peppers, which we all highly recommend. My friends got pasta dishes that were delicious and another sandwich. We were blown away by the quality of the food and how it did not leave us feeling heavy at all. Please patronize this place, we need to keep this vegan gem in Baltimore!

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
My partner and I had dinner here for the first time and it definitely will not be the last! Our server Bean was fantastic — attentive, funny, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We shared the pumpkin soup, kale caeser, and Nonna’s pizza. All were fresh and tasty. The tiramisu we ordered for dessert at Bean’s recommendation should be illegal it’s so good. Give it to a non-vegan, I promise they won’t be able to tell the difference! The restaurant is currently conveniently located in the lobby of one of the Harborplace pavilions, but I believe they will eventually be relocating to another spot in the area. Oleum is well worth your time, whether you’re a local or visiting Baltimore. And take your non-vegan friends, they’ll be amazed!

Food is so delicious ! - Edit
The kale Cesar salad was incredibly fresh and tangy and the creamy noodles were so mouthwatering and savory. Just overall a flavor sensation. Only con here was a waitress that was kinda mean mugging my dad and I. And they did give my dad the wrong item which was a wrap instead of a panini. Regardless, the dishes were tasty so we left tip and decided not to make a big deal out of it. Oh and at least the other waitress was sweet and friendly

Grilled Chickn Panini - Edit
Oleum is (at this time) a downtown vegan restaurant right on Baltimore Harbor. It is mere blocks from the convention center, and I ate five meals there once I discovered it. Note that the building they are in will be torn down, so they may be on the move in a few months. Worth finding them. I loved their grilled Chickn panini with sundried tomatoes, pesto, and melty cheese. I ate three of them over 4 days. For those who don’t like “fake meat or cheese” they have tasty options like their seasonal pumpkin soup with red lentils, a Caesar salad with seasoned chickpeas, and a variety of pizzas.
Read moreThey also have great desserts! I savored a carrot cake bowl over several nights, they have giant fresh-baked cookies, amazing coffee cake, and more. I appreciate an independent restaurant that isn’t afraid of garlic or spice and gets creative with their menu. The staff is enthusiastic about the menu. Pro-tip: take their advice!
I’m writing this as I head back to the airport, having just finished another melty grilled Chickn panini. I may dream about this sandwich
Pros: Grilled Chickn Panini!, Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff , Dessert selections
Cons: Will be in the move - hope they can stay downtown, No breakfast (yet?)

Deliciousness - Edit
Wow, so happy to find this all vegan restaurant while visiting Baltimore. Service was excellent, I had a pesto pasta dish with mushrooms and it was delicious. I had hummus for dessert (they have a great dessert menu but I wanted to try the hummus) with flat bread and it was yummy. I sat at the bar and got to see all the dishes go out, the pizza looks sooo good! I will have to come back again while I’m in town. A must visit! I can’t imagine anyone giving this small business a 1 or 2 star review. The food was great and the menu had a lot of great options. Almost everything is made in-house. I wish them huge success! They’ve only been open for several weeks and hiring lots of employees and getting everything perfect takes time but I had zero issues. I am sensitive to salt because I don’t eat it normally, but my dish did not taste salty at all.

Way too SALTY, and very slow - Edit
Waited over 30’ for a to go order of the spicy Italian panini. It was not very spicy but oh my it was so salty, something was very wrong with that sandwich, it was almost inedible. I kept picking out ingredients trying to figure out what was bringing the salt, but whatever it was, it was hopelessly infused into the sandwich. 😜

Hi again, because this review is also on google, I will just share my same response. If you're ever in Baltimore again hopefully your next visit will be better. - Thank you for your feedback. I remember your visit and the conversation with our server about which items would come out fastest. The server checked with me to make sure she informed you correctly on what would be the fastest and those were our salads and wraps, not the panini. That day was one of our busiest since opening (9 weeks ago), and, with a small kitchen, we had a bit of a wait for certain items, like our paninis, which are made fresh and can only be prepared two at a time. We appreciated everyone's patience that day as we navigated this unusually busy service.
Read moreRegarding the saltiness, we season our veggies lightly with just a pinch of salt for the paninis, but our house-made pepperoni and spicy sausage are naturally saltier ingredients. We carefully measure each component to ensure consistent quality, but I understand that salt sensitivity varies. If you’d like to try the panini again, we’re happy to leave out the pinch of salt on request and can add extra Calabrian chilis for more heat.
While a 30-minute wait isn’t our typical timing, it can happen on especially busy days, and we’re always working to get orders out as quickly as possible while maintaining quality. We hope to welcome you back and provide a smoother experience on your next visit. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. -Chef Adibe

Fantastic vegan pizza - Edit
Oleum is located inside Harbor Place, which as a building is a little worse for wear, but it’s worth it to try their food. The quality does not suffer at all, and they have done their best to create a nice dining experience. Perfect for date night or a dinner out with friends. Their pizza is easily the best vegan pizza in Baltimore. The size of the pizzas are perfect for sharing between 2 people. We really enjoyed the Toum raider, vegan chik’n gyro pizza- it was a very unique white pizza with excellent garlic flavor. The Gabriel pizza was also delicious— spicy with outstanding red sauce. In addition, I also had their peach cobbler cinnamon roll over the summer, and it was so good, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

Not great - Edit
After reading the reviews, I had high hopes. We sat outside and our server forgot us for 20 minutes. We had to remind them that we existed. Our food came at different times. We went on a Sunday so there was only a brunch menu. Two of us had the tofu scramble, it was full of a greasy fake cheese and did not have many vegetables. One person had the panini and it came with potato chips. I kind of feel like if you are eating a plant based diet you don't want greasy fake cheese and fried potato chips. A side salad or piece of fruit would have been better than potato chips and more veggies and less or no fake cheese would have been better. Our server forgot us again and we had to go inside to pay the bill.

Hi Foofie… thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m saddened to hear it was not pleasant for you, especially after having high expectations.
Read moreYour feedback regarding the service is especially concerning, and we will address this with our team to ensure better attention and communication, if you came for brunch this was only our second week as a full service restaurant. We are still working out the proper steps of service now we are officially offering dine in.
As for the food, I appreciate your suggestions about the tofu scramble and sides. I try to make sure each menu description accurately entails what each item comes with. We are very accommodating and can make substitutions within our means. We have other guests substitute our diced potatoes for the chips quite often. We make everything to order so we can definitely make your food without the Violife cheese and add more peppers if you request them.
We understand that our guests may have different preferences when it comes to plant-based options, and we’ll take your comments into consideration as we continue refining our menu. -Chef Adibe

This was our first visit to Oleum Kitchen and we enjoyed every bite! We shared an enormous kale Caesar salad, tomato bisque soup and the Nonna"s Favorite pizza. A VERY nice addition to the vegan options in MD - Edit
I ordered from this restaurant about 3 weeks ago and then again this last week. The blackened fettuccine is delish. It’s very flavorful and has a little spicy touch which my husband and I loved.
Read moreThe eggplant was good but the breading is very heavy for the amount of eggplant inside. The ratio of eggplant to bread is unsatisfactory. When people like me order eggplant is because we love eggplant not because we love breading. The breading is the cherry on top. The eggplant should be thicker or it should be made with little less breading. I would personally prefer a thicker piece of eggplant.
The Roasted Red Pepper Rigatoni was a total hit with my children. It also has a little kick of spicy but my children who typically complain about something spicy on stuff that’s not even spicy, LOVED IT.
The kale salad was good but next time, I’ll get the dressing on the side. The dressing was too heavy for my liking but overall, great flavor and the chewy croutons were good too. I prefer chewy croutons than crunchy.
The tomato bisque was delicious and thick (this is coming from someone that does NOT like tomato soup of any kind). It was simply flavorful which made me question my own supposed dislike for tomato anything, lol. The richness and thickness of it was excellent.
On my first order, they also gave us a cinnamon roll that was pretty tasty. Thank You Oleum!
For someone like me with children with high allergies to nut products and seeds, I would like to see better descriptions on foods that contain nut products or sesame. It should be clear and in bold if any menu item has any common allergens.
The owner is super nice. I can tell she and her staff make all this food with a lot of love.
I will be returning when I’m back in the area.
All in all, I highly recommend.

Hi! Thank you so much for this amazing review! The best compliment is when we can win the kids over! They are my biggest critics. LOL.
Read moreThe feedback on the eggplant is the first I have heard so far. But I definitely understand where you're coming from. Next time you order please let us know you would like thicker pieces and we will make it happen. We make everything to order and can adjust the size for you, no problem at all.
We just recently switched to Toast for our ordering and we are learning how to adjust things. We will take a look at the menu descriptions again and see if we can add a bolder font for items that have common allergens. It is very important to us that our customers feel safe eating our food knowing we take all the proper precautions. If you're ever unsure about an item we are more than happy to answer any questions as well.
Maybe my Tomato Bisque Recipe was so good it made you rethink your disdain for tomato soup haha! I guess only time will tell. Please let us know when you're back in the area, we would love to meet you all! - Chef Adibe

A breath of fresh air. - Edit
I had order two items and both were amazing, to start I had a custom pizza and it was delicious. The ingredients is fresh and the dough on the pizza is top notch. The cheese was so good, by vegan standard, I couldn’t believe it. Since some cheese you can “taste” it as alternative. Bravo, only thing I wish is the sauce to be a little more flavorful, but still good.
Read moreNow for desert, we had the tiramisu.
How they are making this and not losing money is beyond me, you can taste all in ingredients, and they blend well. They don’t skimp out on anything, and for the price point, they gave you so much.
I have tried tiramisu in Italy last year at a world known vegan restaurant and let me tell you, this restaurant does it better.
Bravo chefs! As much as I hate driving into Baltimore, this is worth the drive. Hopefully more menu items are added.
