Fun & educational vegan cooking class in Kyoto - Edit
I always know Junko-san is a very good cook. But I didn't know she is such a passionate vegan food instructor until I joined her cooking class. Her vegan recipes are flavourful and healthy.
Read moreDuring the cooking class, we asked her so many questions, especially on how not neglect protein while serving vegan/vegetarian food at home. She is very knowledgeable and she showed us how to do it.
I really enjoy learning how to cook vegan food from Junko-san together with a group of friends who are like-minded.

Junko, our lovely and knowledgeable instructor, taught us how to make vegan Dan Dan noodles, and it was fantastic!
Read moreThe class focused on balancing flavors by using different types of ingredients to add depth to flavor. It was fascinating to learn about the concept of "umami", and how to use many Japanese ingredients: dried shiitake, kombu, koji, miso paste etc.
Her passion for plant-based cuisine was evident from start to finish - we even made noodles from scratch which made the whole experience even more enjoyable!
The most challenging part of trying to eat vegan for me has been learning to cook protein; making something filling yet flavorful out of boring tofu! So I was excited to learn how to make protein and flavor packed veggie meat from fresh tofu to top the noodles! The veggie meat recipe is so versatile so I'm looking forward to start adding it to my diet!
I highly recommend her cooking class! 👍
