Pretty good - Edit
A very nice dining space in what historically used to be a wet market so nice to see it repurposed for more ethically appropriate use. A pretty extensive, fairly Western menu but the actual vegan selection (clearly marked as vegan) is more limited. The food was very nicely presented and delicious - I particularly enjoyed the tempeh burger as part of the dinner set which also includes soup (mushroom this time), salad, appetiser and a drink.

Good, but vegan options are limited - Edit
Most of the menu is only vegetarian, but there are a few options marked vegan. I went for a business lunch and got the "light combo" which includes a main, an appetizer, and soup/salad. The only vegan main you can get with the combo is the pasta Bolognese, even though there are some other vegan mains on the menu, so that was a bit disappointing.

Very good! - Edit
Had a lovely meal here! The Japanese dumplings and mango sago were delicious. Choices a little limited for vegans if you’re not a fan of burgers or pasta, but I really liked my food. Quite western food though, so not if you’re looking for something more traditional.

Good selection and tasty - Edit
Reichliche Auswahl an verschiedesten Gerichten, westliche wie auch asiatische. Ganz netter Laden, aber ein Tick zu hip 😉

Limited vegan options - Edit
Lovely interior but disappointed to find 90% of the menu contained eggs or dairy. Chose the konjac noodles with mushroom and asparagus in tomato sauce. Noodles were thick and chewy, not to my liking. Sauce had almost zero flavour. Vegetables were nice.

Decent but pricy - Edit
The place is well decorated with friendly staff. I ordered the vegan impossible burger with extra avocado and a pineapple sunset smoothie. The burger was good but not amazing. I found the patty a little dry and bland compared to another impossible burger I tried at another place. The vegan bun was ok but also not as good as the other impossible I tried. Smoothie was a really good flavour combination. Good job putting that together however they need a better blender since there were sometimes still bits of hard pineapple in it.
Read morePros: Good atmosphere, decent food, great smoothies.
Cons: A little on the expensive side., Air conditioning was a little too aggressive., Impossible burger could have been done better.

Nice but pricy - Edit
the ambient is great, filled with plants all over
Read moreI ordered tge impossible Burger, which is good, but, the choice of putting pineapple in it doesn't make much sense, since its flavor overtakes any other. and the bad thing: the "nachos" are simply Doritos Nachos! for $128 I'd expect something better…
Pros: Nice place, Good food
Cons: expensive, "nachos" are actually doritos nachos…

Lovely ambience but could up the vegan options - Edit
This is a really nice environment to eat in, since it is housed with Ovogarden, so there are lots of green plants around, and it feels spacious with high ceilings.
Read moreThe menu is western with an Asian twist. I usually enjoy the options but they have limited choice for vegans and sometimes the food is a bit average for the price.
Set lunch is HKD 78. Set includes a soup or salad or drink; and a main. They usually have one vegan option out of the three sets. I think the soup is always vegan, and tends to be good. For the mains, on a prior occasion, it was Japanese cold udon. I wanted a hot dish so I decided to go elsewhere that time. They've also had pasta dishes which have ranged (some more tasty than others), yum mixed mushroom risotto in satay sauce with veggie chicken skewers, Mediterranean style vegetables with rice.

an amazing break - Edit
OVO was a fresh change from the Buddhist blunt food we were getting at Kowloon. Unfortunately when we stopped there we already had lunch, so we enjoyed only desserts and drinks. But going over the menu (and soaking in the aroma around us) I know this will be the first place to visit next tie in Hong Kong.
Read moreOn the desserts - the Tiramisu was interesting, yet disappointing. The concept of "deconstructing" it by bringing the biscotti and the creme separately was cool, but the former was way too dry.
The rest was OK.
The espresso - a little on the acidic side, but it is all subjective.
Overall - great place which deserves to be explored more.
Pros: location, selection

Decent Food at a High Price - Edit
Ovo is a gourmet style restaurant. There are vegan options on the menu though all servings are very small and you would have to order a lot in order to get full. The prices for all dishes are high. All in all it was okay though I would rather go to places that serve bigger servings for a lower price.

Ovocafe, Hong Kong - Edit
I ate here this evening. It's easy to find at Wan Chai market. As you go in it's the 1st door on the right.
Read moreThe setting / atmosphere is pleasant. The blurb they have clearly states that the menu is based on lacto ovo vegetarianism but they can try to adapt for other types of vegos. I asked the guy serving if they had anything vegan friendly. I must say he was pretty knowledgeable. Basically in the evening at least it's a choice of 1 pasta dish they can do without cheese (the other pasta dish has egg pasta) or salads. I asked about the Bengali sweet potatoes but was told it is cooked with honey.
The pasts dish I had was OK without being anything to get excited about. I would have preferred the pasta to be a bit more al dente. However I didn't specify this when I ordered so I can't complain.
If you are a vegan grade vegetarian there are a ton of better options available in Hong Kong.
Pros: Helpful staff, Nice atmo
