Prima plek

Sfeervolle plek, prima opties! Maar niets om echt voor terug te komen. Daarom drie sterren.

Nothing special, nice chai with oat milk

Happy they had some vegan options here, it wasn’t anything special (the mashed pea toast) which was made without the feta cheese. It was good but nothing special, they could have add vegan feta or for instance something like roasted chickpeas for some crunch. The chai tea with oat milk was nice.

Prices are quite low, but portions aren’t that big.

The service was below level, it seemed like the didn’t like serving or just the work. No idea.

Pros: Place , Pricing

Cons: Cheese was just left out, To small portions , Service

Don't fall for the fancy looks

The thing with most places that look fancy, is that the fanciness drinks all the money. So you get attracted by how the place looks, and by how the food is presented, but then you eat it and don't want to come back. They should try focusing on the quality of the food.

The Tom yum soup: Extremely small, bitter and salty. It's just veggie broth with some taugé in it. The menu says there's tofu in it as well, but that wasn't the case. Reason: they just decided to not do that today. €8,95. Stop it.
The green goddess salad: Slimy grass in a tiny bowl. You might just as well graze on a lawn.
Sweet potato sandwich: The tastes just didn't fit together. I don't know. It was edible, but something made it almost nasty.
However, I need to point out the great service. Sparkling water not sparkly enough? You'll get a new one. Music too loud? They will lower the volume. Need more space for the wheelchair? They'll move the tables. And when I told the waitress I really didn't like the soup she offered me a salad instead which I could get without any costs.
The cappuccino with oat milk was perfectly creamy and the grapefruit lemonade is delicious.
Conclusion. Don't go there for the food. The place is nice and so is the staff, and you might be happy just having a drink there, but the meals were absolutely a no-go.
Since Happycow is mostly to find a place to eat, I'll give it two stars. Eating you shouldn't do here.
