Não vale a experiência. - Edit
Pedi pelo delivery e os pastéis vieram com sabores errados, muito oleosos e sabor enjoativo.

Snack Paulista - Edit
I was happy when I heard about this place, right in the heart of Augusta St. They have about 6 different vegan flavors for pastels. Pastels are nice, although vegan cheeses usually don’t melt easily, they should have left it frying longer as the cheese was still cold inside (I had three pastels), overall pastels are good. I quite disappointed by the Coxinha de Jaca. Sugar Cane Juice was delicious. Overall great option for traditional Paulista Snacks.

Vegan option - Edit
They have one single option for vegans and that's ok, the palm heart pastel, a Brazilian snack. You can drink a cane juice.

Not worthy - Edit
Actually there is only one vegan option and it is not worthy. Really frustrating.

Pastel and churros - Edit
They have the tipical brazilian snack - Pastel which are really good and a brazilian version of the spanish churros vegan. However the filling its not good of the churros just the pastry, Besides that it is the place in Augusta to try Caldo de Cana- sugar cane juice.

All right, but just all right - Edit
I had a vegan ‘presunto e queijo’ (ham and cheese) pastel, and while it was perfectly fine and tasted all right, it was nothing special. I’ve had better pastéis in Brazil with only cheese (though admittedly those have been with milk cheese, not soy cheese).
Read moreThe pastéis were more expensive than in regular pastelerias, but not by an insane amount (most were R$ 7.50 [around $2] apiece, where they would normally be R$ 5–6).
As the previous reviewer mentions, there is only one vat of oil being used to fry all the pastéis, including the ones with meat (and I couldn’t find anywhere that mentioned what type of oil it is). I’m not fussy in that regard, but people who are serious about being completely vegan may want to look elsewhere, as it means their vegan pastéis are not actually vegan (or vegetarian) at all.
Pros: All right pastéis
Cons: Not actually veg*an due to oil used

All fried in the same oil - Edit
Owned by the guy that owns Hot Dog Augusta, which has lots of vegetarian and vegan options. And this place has proper vegan pastels. However it's all fried in the same oil as meat pastels. And whilst they're unlikely to burst, I still felt uncomfortable eating one.

Cons: Same oil as meat pastels
