Wonderful Bakery

Zebulon is a famed vegan bakery in one of the most poppin areas of Montreal. They specialize in a variety of desserts and pastries and everything inside was clearly made with quality and care.

I tried their Hojicha Etagé and it was one of the softest tea cakes I have ever had. It wasn't too sweet either which is a win in my books. My friend also went to try their Croissant which was good but not exactly like what you'd expect from it's not plant-based counterpart.

I'd definitely like to come back to this bakery in the future.

Fancy pastries

Really unique pastries that I haven’t seen anywhere else. We came as a group and ordered a bit of everything to share. All the pastries I tried were delicious, and quite dense/filling.

Amazing berries tart

Looved the tarte aux framboise and the tiramisu. My husband got other pastries and loved them all. Make sure to check this place out because they have a small but tasty pastries to enjoy.

Strikingly beautiful and delicious

For some reason it took me forever to make it here. Part of that was that it was never open when I was thinking of it, and part was that when I passed by I was usually on my way somewhere else, and it didn’t seem the right time to stop for a fancy pastry. I finally checked them out when I ordered my Bouches de Noel from them this last year, and also picked up a treat for myself that day. The
entêtement I got was delightful and the bouches were incredible even though I ordered them frozen so I could transport them before the holiday. If they’re that good after freezing I can only imagine how wonderful they would be if I had been able to take them fresh!

I will now make it a priority to go by more often, and will order for special occasions!

Fancy pastries

I love that they have fancy pastries that you can't taste anywhere else. I enjoy trying 2-3 of their individual portion cakes and share them if I am in the area (picking up Ohana Sushi), but I wouldn't do a detour. If you are in the area, stop and try them.

Pros: Fancy pastries, For pastry foodies

Cons: It's expensive but everything is nowadays.

Excellent vegan pâtisserie

Nice selection of vegan pastries and desserts, all very aesthetic and refined. The blueberry lemon cheesecake was great - very mellow flavor, not too sweet, smooth mousse filling with crunchy base. I'd love to come back to try some of their other offerings.

Mind blowing

Wow. Just wow. The pastries are somehow better than they look, and the owner is extremely friendly.

We stopped by, got 4 pastries, then sat down to have a coffee and eat an amazing orange something croissant. We’re stopping by again before driving back to NY to take a bunch with us.
This is place is so good it hurts.

Pros: Everything

Delicious

This place has the best vegan croissants in Montreal. Lots of choices of pastries and drinks.
They make hot chocolate and it is good, although if you are looking for something sweet, you need to ask for extra sugar because their regular recipe is barely sweet.

Pros: Amazing croissants, Original pastries you won't find elsewhere.

A treat for the mouth and the eyes

Small vegan bakery featuring a variety of cakes and sweet treats. It’s on the high end of prices, but there is a nice variety and everything is vegan. They also have artisanal vegan chocolate bars (including white chocolate), for $16/bar.
Their vegan tiramisu is very delicious and I find it worth the price ($5.50) every now and then. The creme brûlée brioche ($4.50) is also a very nice treat.
Their cakes have an amazing presentation (so do the other treats) and would be a wow factor at a party.

Pros: All vegan, Close to the subway station, good variety and presentation

Cons: pricey

A good surprise

Came across the bakery while walking downtown. A good surprise, got the "brioche créme brulée" which was exquisite though a bit expensive ($4 a piece).
They have all the standard pastries as well as some cakes.

Pros: Sweet

Cons: A bit expensive

Cute little hole in the wall vegan bakery 🧁

This place was so cute! A small little hole in the wall that I did not expect to be 100% vegan. They had lots of little vegan pastries, but we really came for the vegan croissants. There was a mini waffle taster they gave us. The croissant was very good paired with an oat latte. It’s hard to find good barista coffee in Canada, but this was one of the best coffees I’ve had since coming back to Canada. The guy who served us was absolutely lovely. Go get your vegan croissants and pastries here! 🥐 🥮

Pros: 100% vegan, Very friendly staff, One of the best coffee in Montreal

French bakery

I haven't tried their cakes/pastries yet, but their drinks are really good. Try the strawberry slushie.

4 stars cause the first time I went (early 2021) nobody was wearing a mask. I mean come on.

Best place in town

I am French and I can say that I could not find a delicious, gourmet place such as Zebulon. Owners are fab, the vibe in this shop is a big plus. For once pastries are non too sweet, it tastes perfect ! Hardly recommend this place

Delicious

Had a couple of the cakes and cookies, all delicious tasting. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into their preparation and presentation, which makes them great to bring home for dessert.

Only complaint is the decor of the shop is...non-existent. Looks like all their resources went into the cakes.

I’m not a huge fan of iced coffee, but during the heat wave this summer I picked up an iced coffee and cookie from Zebulon and it was delicious. Excellent service as well.

Great service

My friend and I came here, sadly as they were closing. We shared a brownie and it was so tasty! The brownie seemed to be sandwiched between two layers of 'biscuit', which was really interesting, I've not had that before. Added a different texture.
My only regret is that my friend and i didnt buy something else to share, and also that we showed up as they were closing. despite this, the person working was super lovely and described everything to us in detail.
Will be back!

Some of the best vegan patisserie I have had!

This place is incredible! I have tried three different types of patisserie, and the flavours and textures are great. This is one of these rare places that make vegan treats without any compromises. The owners are also lovely.

Pros: Incredible French patisserie, Lovely owners

Cons: Closed three days a week ;)
