Spectacular

The pizza is really good, it has a zing but isn’t too spicy. The sesame seeds on the bottom of the pizzas are great. So delicious! 😋

Pros: The sauce, Toppings, Sesame seeds

Consistently Delicious

Been coming here for years. Lots of vegan options. Pizza is consistently great. Their cashew ricotta dollops are awesome. Can be busy.

Delicious Vegan Pizza

They have a vegan section of the menu with a selection of vegan pizzas. I had the vegan Greenpointer pizza and added house-made vegan sausage to it. Delicious!

Pros: Vegan section of menu

Wood-fired vegan abundance

Eleven different wood-fired vegan pizzas: this is my dream menu. The pie I ordered, "In Ricotta Da Vegan," featured homemade cashew ricotta and homemade vegan sausage. It was a delicious, especially with the chili oil that the server brought on request. I also like owner Paul Giannone's back story: At 56, he left an IT career to do something he really loved, which was feeding people. You can see passion for hospitality in the warm decor and the knowledgeability of the servers.

Really great vegan slices

It's awesome to walk off the street and get a choice of two different vegan slices. I found that many places expect you to buy a whole pie and have it made to order, but Paulie Gee's has vegan slices and they are delicious.

Lots of options but not enough cheese

I appreciated that they had 4 different vegan options. I got the Vegan Special and the Vegan Freddy Prinze. The sausage on them and the sauce were good, but there was barely any cheese on them. Also the prices were good.

A few options to choose

Be mindful the red pepper sauce is pretty spicy which wasn’t noted but lots of options .. Round pies come quicker than rectangle as an FYI

Amazing vegan options

Really impressed with the incredibly light, airy, chewy wood fired pies at this place. Ordered a pie with cashew ricotta and house made vegan sausage that was the standout. The classic pie with sauce and numu was delicious too! Beats out double zero in my book!

Absolutely delicious

The vegan Pizzas are so delicious and creative! I definitely recommend it! We had the chopt til you drop and vegan Grapeful Dead with vegan fennel ‘sausage’ added! Highly recommend! Thank you for the wonderful vegan offerings :)

Vegan Menu is Delicious!

Came here a few nights ago with my family and had a great experience! Customer service was excellent, and our server gave us plenty of recommendations. I tried the Chop’t Til You Drop vegan pizza and it was amazing!! It had the sharpness I love (and miss) from cheese and did not taste like a wannabe regular pizza at all! In fact, my non-vegan family, who loved their pizzas, kept asking me for some of mine. The location is also very beautiful in close proximity to the lovely Greenpoint waterfront. I can’t wait to go back to get a yummy pie and enjoy a picnic

Upscale pizza

The building and decor are cool. The exterior was so unassuming we thought it was closed. It's incredibly dark inside but the pizza is amazing. Huge vegan menu, even dessert and ice cream. Would have gone back if time had allowed.

Favorite pizza!

Paulie Gee's has my favorite vegan pizza in the city. They make their own tofu ricotta and have great homemade vegan sausage too. The restaurant is usually busy and doesn't take reservations, so be prepared to wait! Usually I put our name in and then go to a bar nearby for a drink. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; restaurant is kinda dark but in a cozy way. The pizza has a perfect brick oven cooked thin crust and great flavors. The kale pesto is my favorite, and I'm not a huge fan of kale. Definitely a great place if you want a nice pizza experience as opposed to the corner slice feel.

Best of Both Worlds

The vegan pizza is amazing. It's a restaurant style so you get a whole mini pie so it's very filling. It's also a great place to go to with non vegan folk since there are many options for both diets. It truly is the best of Both worlds!

fantastic Napoli style pizza

Different than Screamers or a slice joint, but a fantastic sit down place for pizza by the pie. Amazing crust and the vegan ricotta is great. Enjoyed the vegan sausage as well.

Got the vegan cheesecake for dessert--nice, not typical coconut/cashew blend. Lots of other options, including vegan dessert pizza and multiple vegan ice cream flavors.

And any restaurant where the owner goes table to table to make sure you had a good meal--and spends time talking with you on a busy night--is worth your business. He was thrilled to hear we discovered him through HappyCow!

Paulie rocks!

Pros: crust, vegan ricotta, vegan sausage

Best Vegan Pizza

Hands down best vegan pizza I've tried. The Inricotta da Vegan pizza is incredible. Their vegan sausage and ricotta are homemade and full of flavor. They have a full vegan pizza menu and one for vegan desserts! Waiting time is always ~1hr so I recommend putting your name down and having a drink at a local bar while you wait.

Pros: vegan pizza menu, vegan desserts menu

Cons: waiting time is always ~1hr

pretty good for vegans

The vegan options they have are very classy and tasty. But they don't have daiya anymore, so don't go there if you have your heart set on a gooey salty cheesy slice!

Pros: nice ambience, nice service, vegan sausage and ricotta

Cons: no daiya

In Ricotta da Vegan

This pizza was absolutely fantastic. I have been thinking about it ever since I went there a month ago. Cons: they do not take reservations. My party of 2 was lucky to only wait 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Larger groups were waiting up to and over an hour. Staff was nothing to write home about. One thing I found strange was that the open kitchen area has the same dim lighting as the rest of the restaurant. It worried me that people were preparing our food in candlelight. How could they possibly see what they were doing?

Pros: Vegan Ricotta/Fennel Sausage Pizza!, Vegan Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies!, Nutritional yeast offered as topping

Cons: Limited hours of operation. , They don't take reservations, Cooks work in the dark.

Outstanding pizza!

This place is really good. Well, at least, this is how I like pizza. Thin crust, cooked in a wood fired oven, a scattering of fresh ingredients and very little cheese (not like Pizza Hut). The atmosphere is intentionally rustic, dimly lit, and a little tight, but cozy. I went by myself on a Saturday night and I waited 20 minutes for a seat. It was well worth the wait.

The place serves meat and dairy, but the entire back side of the menu is dedicated to vegan pizza. I can't remember the fancy name they gave the pizza I ordered, but it was a thin crust pizza with red sauce, fired in the oven with fennel seed "sausage" and then finished after baking with dollops of vegan ricotta "cheese" and sprinkled with arugula. I savored every bite.

The owner, Paulie G. was in the restaurant, talking with patrons, and helping the staff. He delivered my pizza to my table. I heard him talking with the couple next to me and he explained how he had gotten the oven from Naples, Italy and had it torn down and shipped "brick by brick and tile by tile" to Brooklyn. A super nice guy. The kind you like to give your business to.

Pros: Great Pizza, Friendly Staff , Cozy Environment

Cons: Not in Manhattan

You Must Go Here

I cannot express to you enough how incredible this pizza is. If I were to dream up the most heavenly vegan pizza pie in the world, it would be made at Paulie Gee's. Gourmet ingredients. Baked in a brick oven. They have homemade vegan fennel sausage, homemade cashew ricotta dollops... OMG! Vegan. Pizza. Heaven.

It's also a place you can bring your meat-eating friends or family because, for better or worse, they have pies with meat and cheese too.

The one topping I was surprised I didn't see on the menu is artichokes.
