Great vegan pizzas! - Edit
Fantastic vegan pizza with delicious house made cashew “cheese” (not junky commercial vegan cheese—this is actual food) and tasty wood fired crust. Cheese is more like a sauce, but so much better than those fake unhealthy store cheeses. Also have the most amazing vegan vanilla ice cream from a local vendor. Quoc Uber trip from downtown, very pleasant atmosphere with nice outdoor and indoor seating. Friendly service. Will definitely come back next time I’m in StL.

Best pizza in St. Louis - Edit
First off, I hate St. Louis pizza. It’s like eating a cracker. We found this place recently and drooled over the vegan options on their site.
Read moreWe secured and reservation and the excitement started to build as we headed to the restaurant. The first thing you see when you walk in is the big pizza oven which got us even more excited.
Once seated, we started with the garlic knots and devoured them in minutes. We quickly move on to the Tea Maker which had an amazing cashew cheese and vegan sausage.
I wish I could say that I tried the desert but, the pizza was so filling that I didn’t have any room left. Oh well, I know that we’ll be back soon.
Pros: Small and personable space, Friendly staff, Delicious pizza
Cons: I can’t think of one

A non-vegan restaurant that makes cashew cheese! - Edit
They have vegan mock meats and vegan cashew cheeses that are house-made, AND the vegan options were the same price or less than non-vegan items! I hadn't had garlic knots in years, they are amazing here. They also have a vegan dessert which I didn't try, but the pizza was fantastic!

Good Pizza - Edit
They have many vegan options which are all clearly labeled on the menu. Their vegan cheese option is a house-made cashew cheese which is very good and is something different than other pizza places that use commercial vegan cheese or don’t offer a vegan cheese option at all. I have tried two different vegan pizzas, the garlic knots, the pasta salad and the maple-glazed cinnamon knots. The pizza and the garlic knots are my faves. I highly recommend!

Literally almost cried because the pizza was so good! I have been vegan for going on 3 years and I have never had a pizza as good as the one here! Complements to the people who put the time and effort to make four amazing and quality vegan pizzas

I’d give 5 stars if HappyCow would let me, because their vegan options are simply the best. Pizza is one thing you really miss as a vegan and finding a pizzeria that does it justice for vegans is tough. This place blows all others out the water. Seriously the best pizza I have had maybe in my entire life. Plus! They make their own cheeses that aren’t those fake soy based jokes! Their cashew ricotta.. oh boy is it good. Want vegan pizza? Head here now! Plus the owner and staff are awesome and will treat you will and carry out a great conversation.

Excellent food!! Watch your pizza being made in an authentic wood fire pizza oven. Flavors are real and quality is evident in everything. Really nice staff and overall feels to be part of the community. For vegans or vegetarians this is a must visit for St Louis.

not fully vegetarian anymore! - Edit
I’m heartbroken; this used to be, by far, my favorite vegetarian restaurant (with vegan options, for me) in town. I support my carnivore friends - including my husband - but personally choose only to eat at vegetarian or vegan restaurants. Pizzeoli has a new owner, and they now serve meat, so I’m sad to say that I never will eat here again. Happy Cow needs to update their information right away for others who share my preference for meat-free places to eat! For those who aren’t as particular, hopefully the pizza at least is still delicious... What a bummer.

Sat outside and brought our pooch! The friendliest of folks, from Scott the owner to everyone else. Salad was colorful and fresh. Pizza was exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Crisp dough with tasty veggies and 'shrooms atop. We will be back.

Tasty Vegan Pizza - Edit
We tried two of the vegan pizzas and the vegan ice cream for dessert. The pizzas were quite tasty, but the dessert might be too rich for plant-based eaters. Large portions, great for sharing. It's perfect for mixed company dining (vegan, veg, omni)

I got the Baba vegan pizza with Cashew Cheese and Basil. It was awesome! The staff was so nice, the cook came over and talked to us when we were sitting and chilling after we finished eating. He was super nice and told us about running a vegetarian restaurant. Amazing place!

In the Top Tens for Vegan Pizza - Edit
Pizzeoli was an experience. Not an experience as in shock value upon walking in the door, great ambiance, or there was a monkey dancing in the corner while I was eating my pizza... but an experience for my tastebuds.
Read moreSo to put in perspective my new found love of Pizzeoli... I have eaten vegan pizza all over the country. I've been to Blackbird in Philly, Portabello Trateria in Portland, Village Pizza Co in Atlanta, and several dozens more that have escaped memory. Pizzeoli easily makes the top ten list of best in the country.
And with pizza it's all in the crust. Pizzeoli uses 00 flour (finest ground from Italy. This is not cheap flour and is most likely part of the reason for the high cost of pizza), cooks in a 900 degree wood-fired oven, uses the bare minimum in sauce ingredients, and has really refined the craft that is making old world pizza.
To top it off, Pizzeoli is 100% vegetarian and offers a selection of vegan items hand-crafted in store from high quality ingredients.
If you're vegan or vegetarian and you love pizza... be sure to make your way to the Archway to the West if nothing else to eat this pizza.
Pros: Mouthgasms, Wood Fired, Soullard
Cons: Priced accurately and not slightly under, In Saint Louis

Excellent!! - Edit
This is the real deal! It's all veggie, and does excellent vegan pizza as well. First of all, this is a real italian pizza over, and your pizza will be ready in about 90 seconds after it goes in the over. They have great veggie pizzas, but what is even better is that they have excellent and innovative vegan pizzas that don't use that horrible Daiya "cheez" (ugh!). The vegan cheeses here are made of cashew or even cauliflower and carrot, and they are delicious, unlike the plastic-like stuff. Not cheep, but worth it.

tasty vegan options - Edit
This is a great little place. Before I was vegan pizza was a main food group for me and daiya doesn't quite cut it. Their pizza is fresh, authentic, and tasty. Makes me nostalgic for my favorite pizzeria in Bologna. Small menu of items done well, but I'd love a few more veg options.

We order to go pizzas, and even though checking into and getting to our hotel room was an ordeal in and of itself, the pizza we got here were still great. The owner was really nice and we both talked about food service while I waited for our pizzas. If I ever go back to STL I will have this place on my list.
