Foreigner friendly!! - Edit
Amazing restaurant in Hongdae! Very foreigner friendly as most of the staff are not korean. I had the teriyaki stir fry and it was so delicious and very filling. Green juice was also nice and refreshing. A bit on the pricier side but worth the money.

Average Burger - Edit
I went and had the burger which was a bit average to be honest. It was not very easy to eat coz it kept disintegrating. But the staff can speak english and were quite nice.

Okay but nothing special - Edit
A bit disappointed after reading all the highly positive reviews. Waited ~5 min before getting inside but the food took a bit long to arrive.
Read moreThe "tofu" wrap was nothing special, a bit flavorless and... well it had only like two little cubes of unseasoned tofu in it, most of the wrap was salad and croutons. Also it came with like 5 potato crisps which were not even that good.
We didn't quite enjoy the mushroom burger either. We expected something more mushroom-centered, perhaps with some juicy mushroom slices. The mushrooms themselves were not very good either (especially after having tasted so many delicious mushrooms in other restaurants in Seoul).
We also ordered the two available milkshakes. The banana one was average, definitely not the best but enjoyable at least. The strawberry one on the other hand was really bland and not sweet enough.
As for the place, it had a nice vibe but it felt very noisy and crowded, with a lot of movement (even though it was far from being full).

Good Philly cheese steak terrible burger - Edit
Searched for a while to find, ordered a veggie chilli burger for myself, and Philly cheese steak sandwich, mac & cheese, and tomato pasta for people with me with two drinks for $80, which felt high. Food was not terrible, but mostly really disappointed due to the poor menu explanation of the burger which I expected to be seitan or another textured protein but was a moist cheap bean burger patty for a relatively high price. Sad to know I could get a better quality vegan burger from lotteria. If you have the $$$ I'd recommend the Philly cheese steak sandwich but not the burger.
Read morePros: Amazing fries, albeit a tiny portion for $5, Nice environment , Great drinks
Cons: Very expensive for what you get ($20 bean burger), Menu did not state the "burger" was a bean patty, Dissappointing

Die Falafel Salat Bowl wurde in einer stylischen Holz-Schüssel serviert und reichte vollauf als leichtes Mittagessen bei 33 Grad Außentemperatur. Drin war es angenehm temperiert.

Excellent Philly Cheesesteak - Edit
I was out with a group of vegetarian friends walking around Hongdae. We got hungry and decided to grab a bite. It can be a little challenging to find vegetarian/vegan friendly places in Seoul but thanks to Happy Cow we found Plant Cafe. My wife and I both had the Vegan Philly Cheesesteak with potato chips. It had the most amazing and softest bread. The filling was excellent: and the homemade chips were perfect. Our friends got the mushroom burger with fries and a noodle bowl respectively. Everything was delightful. We will be back for sure. This place is a find! Thanks Happy Cow!

The tempeh wrap was sooo good! And the snickers cake!! - Edit
I went there specifically for the tempeh wrap that I saw on their online menu and I have to say it was very good. I ordered it with the side salad and had the snickers cake for dessert. It is a bit more expensive than other restaurants I would say but you could clearly tell the ingredients were fresh and the the food is very delicious.

the food was okay. a bit too salty and something i could throw together super quickly on my own, which would be fine except for the fact it costs twice as much as many other food places in the area.

Burger joy! - Edit
What a fantastic place! Great menu, service, vibe and location. Last time, I had the avocado burger with fries and a razzle berry smoothie. Both were delicious and filled me with joy. This time I had the mushroom burger with a side of tempeh. So tasty! I highly recommend this place.

Great vegan haven. - Edit
Ive been to both Plant restaurants in Seoul and had great experiences. Although a bit pricy, the food tastes amazing. and the staff is lovely, their staff are knowledgeable on allergies and usual questions a vegan might have.

no allium free option at all - Edit
the staff are friendly and atmosphere of the cafe is not bad. one thing i note is that usually vegan places would be okay to remove the alliums (replace certain sauces or just don't add certain items) such that those who don't take alliums can enjoy the food also. unfortunately the staff told us NONE of the items can be made allium-free. obviously the burger can be made so without the onion mayo... we believe they just prefer not to go thru the hassle.

This hip café is in a very lively area, sells a good choice of food and an even better choice of desserts.
Read moreMy husband had the beetroot burger with mushrooms which he praised highly.
I had the tempeh wrap with peanut sauce, which was packed with veggies and pickles, the tempeh was soft and there was a lot of sauce.
We shared the chilli cheese fries and they were nice but the sauce was quite watery which made the chips at the bottom soggy.
The dessert was a caramel apple cake and it was delicious.
Well worth a visit, keeping in mind they have a break between lunch and dinner.

Vibey and delicious - Edit
Absolutely love this place. Visited multiple times as it was close to our hostel and the only vegan place around, haha. The lighting and decorations make this feel like an elevated hang out spot. The open kitchen concept is also cool and looks super clean which is always nice to see. My partner got the Philly cheesesteak and loved it! I The hummus plate was also super great.

Hongdae Vegan Hangout - Edit
Summer oasis, Plant Yeonam. This branch of Plant sprouted during the pandemic, when most other restaurants were closing down, and Plant was growing. I’ve visited 12-15 times and have seen steady tweaking of menu, atmosphere, service and such. Smiles from the staff, who you can see bustling around, encourage the feeling it is fine to stay awhile and hang out. Located at the back gate of Hongdae, it is open, spacious, bright, light, and breezy. I’ve tried most of the dishes - today was the chili cheeseburger. Tho I am not generally a big burger fan, I enjoyed it for its flavor, the fresh-made bun, and heartiness, though it was a bit squishy. High-quality ingredients, consistency, and cakes! My favorite will always be the luscious hummus salad, but there are a variety of bread-based or pasta pasted dishes. I’d like to see more refinement with rice-based and whole foods dishes, but generally, this is the place to come to get what you don’t cook at home. It’s hard to make it to the cakes, but great to have that option. Big eaters, omnis, and vegans can all be satisfied here. I’m a big fan of the raspberry smoothie. I noticed that the side salad with the signature yummy creamy Plant sauce has grown bigger, with more seeds. It’s a bit artsy and Hongdae, fresh uni-vibe style. You will be well fed. Beware the breaktime on weekdays from 3-5, but overall it’s a solid dependable option.

My go-to! - Edit
My go-to vegan restaurant in Seoul! It's slightly pricy, but the portions are large and the ingredients are high quality so you get what you pay for! The food lacks a little flavor, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The atmosphere is nice, and it usually has a good amount of people! If you have a party of 3 , then I recommend calling and making a reservation. Most of the tables are for 2 people, so if the larger tables are filled, you might have to wait outside for a table. The staff seem to be mostly foreigners that can speak English, and there is an English version of the menu so it's very easy for English speakers. Also, they have so many vegan desserts that change every day!!!
Read morePros: Easy for English speakers, Large portions, Large variety of food
Cons: Expensive (but large portions + high quality), Not much seating for groups. Make a reservation!
