Elegant and delicious - Edit
This place is a combination of Double Zero and PlantMade. (Double Zero is still listed on Happy Cow, but it's basically housed in the same restaurant as PlantMade.) I had the eggplant parmigiana today. It was excellent: tasty, creative, and filling.

Was ok - Edit
I used to love Double Zero, now as they have moved two places into one I also noticed the quality went down.
Read moreIt has a character of a bar and not a high end restaurant where you get quality food.
They removed items from the card but it was still displayed. All the amazing dishes they used to have are not available anymore. The dish I ordered had lots of sauce, too much and overpowering.
I’m Not coming back! Not for that price you pay
Pros: Vegan food
Cons: Some dishes of the menu weren’t offered anymore , Language barrier, waiter was fluent in Spanish , Too much sauce

Pesto pizza is my fave - Edit
Delicious pizza and a range of other menu items available. We tried the Mediterranean summer vegetable pizza and the sunflower pesto pizza. Both were good, the pesto pizza was my favorite. Staff is nice. Depending on hunger, might be able to split one pizza for two people. Leftovers are yummy.

Excellent vegan creations - Edit
I came across this place by accident while walking down 2nd Ave and popped in for lunch. Interesting, photogenic upscale look, full of stuff, with subdued lighting. The menu was totally vegan, and pretty much everything sounded good to me. I chose the Eggplant Lasagna, and was very happy with both the presentation and taste -- as well as textures. The staff was very friendly.

Meh - Edit
Reviews said the heuvos rancheros was good, so I got it. Nice presentation, cheese sauce was good, but there was hardly any heuvos (scrambled tofu) and tons of baby kale leaves between two tortillas. It was unpleasant to eat.

Great flavor, great food - Edit
I know some people were upset by the closing/combining of the original restaurants. I am sad too but also happy that I can easily order the best of the two menus now.

Yummy brunch - Edit
Went for brunch and had the Huevos Rancheros. It was beautifully presented and delicious. The side of potatoes wasn’t good but the main was very good. The pizzas looks delicious as well. Our waiter was excellent and refilled my water multiple times. He was attentive and even went next door to get me ketchup!

Best highlights from Bar Verde and Double Zero - Edit
Was curious to try PLANTMADE (recently combined Bar Verde and Double Zero). I always loved the nachos from Bar Verde (the star of the menu) and had enjoyed the pizza from Double Zero.
Read moreThe interior was slightly different from the original setup of Bar Verde, with more high tops and bar seating (with some regular tables in the front). Ambience was nice, music was a sensible volume.
We ordered:
- Nachos Verde: Delicious as ever!! And a generous portion that is big enough as a an entree for one person. Remains our favorite dish from the OG Bar Verde and now PLANTMADE.
- Truffle & Mushrooms Pizza: It’s VERY mushroom-y (perhaps a little overboard). The crust is nice! The cashew cheese is good but not as good as I remembered it from OG Double Zero.
Wish they still had the Potato Pizza from Double Zero (as that was unique and was one of my faves). Curious to try the Cacio e Pepe next time!

So happy they still exist! - Edit
So the pizza was just as good, if not better than the last time we went to Double Zero. Same with the Cacio e Pepe! Unreal. The Caesar was pretty different and not as good as DZ version, but it’s still delicious. I hope this location survives a long time! ❤️

Potato pizza and churros - Edit
Great vibe for this new double zero collab. Nice date vibe, great staff, and the food! Apps and salads came out quickly, pizza takes some time.

Mimosa Brunch - Edit
Came here for a birthday brunch with a fairly large group. We all enjoyed the food and the waiter was very good about keeping the bottomless mimosas flowing! Great for a large group and one of the only vegan places in the city with a bottomless mimosas! 🥂

5 for pizza, 2 for vibes - Edit
i really like the pizza at double zero, so i keep coming back. it's hard to be confident about what changed and when, but at some point whenever i visited the vibes were completely off due to the worst kind of pop music that was blasting inside. this is not a comment on my music taste, but about how inappropriate it was for the setting seemingly cultivated in the restaurant.
Read morethis was a reason i would not go that often, but seeing that they joined the two places i decided to see if there was any improvement.
unfortunately, there was not! it was actually a bit worse since now in addition to the music playing inside, i could also hear the music playing in the kitchen. there was also an issue with the service but not of the kind i'd bother to detail.
the pizza is still very good, but i don't think i'll be coming back soon.
