Great Options for Burgers & Açaí, But….

I’ve been to purple ocean many times and it’s always delicious. However, my most recent visit came with disappointment. This once 100% vegan place has decided that for 2026 they would bring in REAL MEAT as a burger option. I’m not sure if they have a separate stove to cook the real meat as their kitchen is rather small, I forgot to ask. But the vegan food is really good, lots of burger options & açaí. But part of me just feels sad that a once vegan place has double down and started offering meat… it’s like they didn’t actually care for the animals, they care more for the money. But I guess you can bring non-vegan friends are family here as an option… As I did bring my non-vegan Husband (but to try the vegan food!), and they asked “what type of patty would you like, impossible or 100% real beef” (both of our reactions being 100% beef as in real meat?!?!?) he was very quick to change his mind and just go with the beef option, so my plan for him to try their vegan original burger went out the window…. Obviously id this doesn’t bother you, they still have great food and service.

Pros: Burger options are unique , Atmosphere is cute

Cons: Added real meat to their all vegan menu
