Me encantó, mi lugar favorito en Medellín - Edit
Ademas que amo que su comida es a base de agricultura regenerativa y local, tiene un menú raw espectacular, a un precio justo y soy vegana y me parece buen spot para ir con amigos no veganos.

Great food and price, be careful that it's vegan - Edit
I ordered the raw menu del día and told the server that I was vegan and confirmed it was vegan. Delicious food and flavours for the main and the soup, then the dessert arrived and it was dairy!!! I asked the server and she told me that is what is the dessert .. I made a point to advise that they should advise that the dessert is neither vegan nor raw. She brought me a vegan dessert after.

Amazing - Edit
Great fresh food with tons of vegan and raw vegan options. Great service and amazing food. Highly recommend the veggie stir fry(great Asian sauce and not over cooked or greasy), rice pasta veggies/quinoa balls(great, similar to veggie stir fry, balls are bland but the sauce is amazing, and more al dente than veggie stir fry), meatballs(wow), los colores soup(great flavors), tomato soup(lime childhood), apple-celery juice(my body calls for it), raw veggie soup(tastes like peas) .

Great little grocery store too.
Pros: See description for food, Sit outside for passing musicians, Save room for desserts
Cons: Skip the foods in review, No prices on groceries and some things are $$$$

Great Restaurant and Store - Edit
I had the Vegetarian option of Menú del Día (22.500 COP) after confirming with the waitress that it in fact was vegan. It included a soup, a main dish with spaghetti and lots of vegetables, a small dessert and a drink. Everything tasted great and I really appreciated the big size of the main dish.
Read moreThere is also a big store with lots of products including non-common vegan products. I had a vegan tamale with soy meat that I ate the next day and it was great.
I'll definitely go back here!

Our Favorite Spot in Medellin for Menu of the Day - Edit
Would give 5 stars but only able to give 4 with not being fully vegan. This was my go to spot for menu of the day, I had lunch 3-4 times during my week in Medellin. The food is so fresh and delicious, the bread is amazing and they have a great selection of vegan groceries. Plus I love the photo of stoned Jesus on the wall!

Vegetarian as a standard, meat or fish would have to be ordered extra. The menu del dia is very good value for the price of a main dishes elsewhere and even includes a drink! Everything was really delicious and made up a good portion.

Varias opciones pero de menú de día vegano solo toca Raw. En este lugar prefiero comer torta y helado vegano. Si pides una sopa, pregunta bien los ingredientes porque puede llevar mantequilla o leche.

ricas opciones veganas, servicio malo - Edit
Super delicioso!

5 Stars - Edit
Had the vegetarian plate of the day which included soup, main plate (lentil pie with potato and salad), juice and a very small desert. Was tasty and good amount. You have to normally wait for a table but worth the wait. Place is clean and is also a store. Cost 18.000 pesos.

Great place to stock up on snacks and vegan goodies - Edit
We just wanted to browse the store, but ended up buying a few goodies. Their selection is broad: They have a bulk corner with dry goods, and packaged breakfast items, mylks, cocoghurt, nuts, cheeze, bars, cookies, snacks, bread, tofu, vegan protein... Also quite a few natural cosmetics items. Really everything you'd wish for!

Good food here - Edit
I would arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to get a seat, and by 12 noon to get a table outside. Otherwise, be prepared to wait in line to get a table. They usually put their meal of the day on their Facebook page by 11:00 a.m. Today's meal sounded interesting so I decided to go and I ended up really liking the food. It was the typical meal of the day in Colombia which is a bowl of soup, a juice based drink and then the main plate with four items and a small dessert. The price as of October 2022 is 18.500 pesos for the vegetarian meal of the day. Pricing is about the same or just a bit more than every other vegetarian restaurant in this area. This is a good place to eat if you are traveling with someone who's not a vegetarian as you have the option of adding chicken or fish to the meal for an additional cost.

Good food, store with lots of options! - Edit
I had the raw vegan menu del dia here which was an enormous portobello with all sorts of vegetables and greens and some sauces, as well as a cold Thai-inspired vegan soup which was thick and creamy. Raw food is normally not my thing and the raw portobello wasn’t my favorite, but everything was fresh and tasted good and the portion size was huge!

Delicious restaurwith a shop with fresh local homegrown produce - Edit
I wanted to give this restaurant 5 stars but was not allowed to because apparently they are listed as serving meat. I did not find anything with meat on the menu and they present themselves as a vegetarian restaurant with raw food options. The restaurant also has a small shop with fresh produce from their own farm. I like everything about this restaurant: the staff, the menu, the shop. And I'm clearly not the only one because people wait in line to get a spot.

Gross - Edit
Why are all Colombian vegan restaurants the same gross, flavorless (only salt used), and unimaginative food? They simply serve typical Colombian and remove the meat typically included and call it a meal. Every comment focuses on the price. I prefer to pay higher prices for good quality food.
Read moreCons: No spice, no flavor, Gross offerings

Unless you're on the coast, ain't no spice at any restaurante.

Actually, this isn't the case. There are restaurants that use some spices and better flavor. You just have to look for them.

Interesting that you would give a one-star rating to a restaurant where all the tables are taken by 12:00 noon and there's a line out the door. This place has been here for over 10 years so they must be doing something right.

It is my opinion. If you want to judge it and argue with me, that is your right. It doesn't mean that my opinion is wrong.

I didn't say you were wrong. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that when you give a place a one-star rating that means it's among the worst. I also noticed that you cut and pasted that same review and placed it in several restaurants in the Medellin area, without any further elaboration as to what you ate that day and what was wrong with it. Do you think that's a fair way to treat these restaurants who are struggling to stay in business? Do you honestly believe that these restaurants you reviewed are worst in class?

Maynard: I am not sure of your position of self-appointed review criticizer and police, but maybe you can learn to accept other people don't think like you or have preferences like you. I see that your favorite foods are fast food. Mine are not. I enjoy cuisines all around the world and do a fair amount of cooking. Fast food is not one of my favorites.
Read moreIndeed, SaludPan is gross. If Colombia food is your preference, well good luck to you. Most of the vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Medellín are very bad, as most simply make a hodge podge of salty and otherwise flavorless mush. I have written reviews for restaurants in Medellín that are positive. Simply because it doesn't line up with your expectations, you don't have to annoy and pester me on Happy Cow.
You may camp out at restaurants at times to quantify and qualify their crowds at 12.00 pm in order to decide which restaurants are best. I don't. I eat the food. I share comments with people so I can advise them to enjoy the higher quality restaurants and avoid the gross ones. Maybe you have another goal for yourself in advertising for restaurants in the area.
Simply because a restaurant exists for 10 years doesn't mean that they do anything right or wrong. It means they have been in business for 10 years. There are many restaurants that survive in Colombia for many years without being successful. It is pretty cheap to maintain a restaurant in Medellín without any revenue. We see it here all of the time, but perhaps your short vacation to Medellín didn't allow you to understand the business environment here.
I gave this restaurant a one-star rating because it is some of the worst food I have experienced. I sincerely regret wasting my few paltry pesos here. My wife and I ate here, did not enjoy the food, and felt sick afterward. No cutting and pasting -- just my honest review. I don't need to elaborate to satisfy you. It is a fair review. The food is horrible. Learn to accept.
