Loved the food and atmosphere - Edit
You will have a table full of different Afghan dishes if you choose the surprise menu, just indicate that you eat vegan. Also enjoyed the fresh fig tea.

Read more3 dishes menu. For every dish you get a description of what you are getting served. Beautifully presentated. The atmosphere is great, traditional and warm. A mix of tastes and textures, spices and combinations. The sorbet ice cream as desert was perfect!

This place is amazing! We went here with a mixed dietary preference group and most of us ordered the vegan or vegetarian surprise menu. One person ordered the meat surprise menu and got the meat dishes in separate bowls. All the other dishes are mostly the same for everyone, only the vegetarians got some extra yoghurt on top.

Afghan food in unique ambience - Edit
Sarban is an Afghan restaurant with a very nice and unique atmosphere. Eating here will cost you 35 € (plus beverages): Either 3 courses where you choose the dishes, or a surprise menu where you can try most of their dishes in tiny portions.
Read moreI was told that I could get a vegan surprise menu. That‘s true, but standard is a surprise menu with some meat, or a vegetarian surprise menu. And with every course they mixed it up and I was given the standard vegetarian version first (with one dish each containing yoghurt in the starters platter and main platter, and being full of dairy for the dessert selection)! That wasn‘t really a big problem, because they explain the food to you when they serve it, and they changed it immediately, but you really have to pay attention and I wish staff would be more attentive instead!
The food itself was very good, but not as special as I had hoped for.

Nice combinations of soft, spicy and fresh flavors - Edit
Very friendly welcome and service, they came to sit at the table to explain the menu and the dishes. We chose the vegan surprise menu so that we could taste different dishes. These were all very tasty and certainly plenty of generous portions.
