Very happy to have found this cheap but good vegi place - Edit
My entrada was vegetarian. Potatoes with paprika sauce. Very tasty!! The segundo was vegan. Rice, platanos and lentils. Tasty but a bit lame. Other people ordered the Lomo salteado. That looked amazing.

Best veg restaurant in Trujillo - Edit
A really nice vegetarian restaurant near the city centre of Trujillo. All dishes on the extensive menu can be made vegan😄and they also do a fast delivery service.
Read moreI enjoyed their vegan interpretation of Peruvian classics like Papa a la huancaína. My tip: if you are planning a visit outside Trujillo ask the restaurant to prepare a few sandwiches for you as you will find few vegan options outside the centre.

This little gem is very close to the center plaza of the city and although vegetarian offers a big choice of healthy food made with local produce.

Daily lunch special Monday-Friday is an excellent deal. From what I observed, this food is available fairly quickly. Other dishes are made to order and such quality and attention does take time. I found this to be time very well spent!

I felt like family at this restaurant and did not want to eat anywhere else in Trujillo.
The huacaína sauce is truly delicious; the flavour of turmeric is perceptible. Others use fillers like crackers to make this sauce.
How I wish I could've tried the whole menu!

I really recommend this place, menu del día is for 12 soles and you can build it as you prefer choosing your entrada and your main dish, this allows you to go there both for lunch and dinner and eat something different in the same day, beverage is also included. The staff is lovely, portions are rich and every dish is tasty and balanced with carbs, vegetables and proteins. Most of the dish are vegan, just few of them have cheese or eggs but I had no problem at all since the variety is huge. I'll came back for sure.

Trujillo has a surprising number of vegetarian restaurants, but this is the best. The setting may seem rather spartan, but the dinner menu is really extensive, and the portions huge. Lunch is good too, with set options for starters and mains - and throughout, there's the opportunity to experience the diversity of Peruvian food (without the meat).

The restaurant and food are really good. And everything on the menu is vegetarian or even vegan, which is not common in Trujillo. The owners are nice and helpful with the choice of food. Note that the restaurant has recently moved to a newer location.

This lovely couple serves really nice food and the menu del día is only 12 sol. Portions are very generous and the people are incredibly nice. We loved the food that we had and would always come back here.

Best veggie in Trujillo - Edit
We had lunch here and it was amazing- the family that run this place are lovely and you can see everything being made fresh out the back. Super tasty and affordable. Also this place is open on a Sunday when everywhere else veggie is closed!
