Great dining experience - Edit
Really enjoyed our evening at Sesame. Great service, nice ambiance and a fantastic selection of vegan dishes. You do have to be a bit careful on ordering as some of the things that appear to be marked as vegan are actually marked as “vegan option available” so you have to let your waiter know you’re after the vegan version of the dish. Will definitely return next time I’m in Montreal.

Chicken in vegan meal - Edit
We ordered the butter tofu and there was a piece of chicken in the plate. When we told the waiter she just said “it was a mistake” and didn’t do anything else. Unacceptable.

Allergy/vegan friendly - Edit
Everything on the menu is marked clearly and when you order they ask if you have any allergies or food restrictions to minimize contamination. I was looking at the cooks prepare the food and they clean the pan throughly between each dish. The food was pretty good as well. I will go back.

We were excited to try this place as it had several clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian option as well as options for those among us who eat meat.
Read moreWe ordered the pad se ew vegan, specifically mentioned leaving out egg/that person being vegan and after a long wait (a couple tables who arrived after we ordered got their food before we did) it arrived with egg.

I love Sesame St-Jacques. The service is super fast. All vegan options are clearly labeled. Honestly all the options are delicious: the thai coco soup, the peanut butter tofu, the pad sew, etc.

Excellent endroit pour le lunch - Edit
La nourriture est délicieuse et l’endroit est vraiment bien organisé à l’heure du lunch, pour que tout le monde puisse manger rapidement! Ils prennent les commandes dans la file et le service est un peu cafeteria, mais une hôtesse vous aide à trouver une table. Il y a un grand réservoir d’eau citronnée et un comptoir avec des garnitures (oignon vert, sésame). Au souper, c’est une formule plus classique avec service aux tables, donc ça prend un peu plus de temps mais c’est quand même très efficace.

I work by here and go for the Tom Yum with Tofu whenever I'm craving soup. I find if I get the medium it comes with noodles and is pretty filling and inexpensive (compared to other things here).
