Truly the GOAT (Gorilla Of All Time) - Edit
Such a great and welcoming place with really good food (and quite cheap too). I especially liked the soy cheese and meat. The owner is a legend, he runs everything alone and he even gave us hand warmers because it's cold outside.

You get a variety of dishes on a tray, the food is absolutely delicious and filling. Do not forget to greet the food with "itadakimasu" and the chef with "gochisosamadeshita": not only is it polite but you'll make him happy :)

The grilled meat was nothing like I had before as a vegan. The texture and taste was very much like sweet bacon and the chef said it was his own recipe so I was even more impressed! I loved this spot, I recommend it fully!

This restaurant is a gem! The chef takes great pride in making tasty food and the presentation is beautiful. We started with nachos and they were delicious. Our grand finale was the Matcha parfait! It was 100%.

I loved my vegan grilled meat set meal. Large portion size and the miso soup was perfect for a rainy evening. The owner was welcoming and even walked over to teach me when he noticed me struggle with chopsticks.

They serve a full vegan menu with a lot of options, definitely something for everyone. We ordered a couple different items from the menu, the vegan meat set, gapaorice, spring rolls, pancakes,… everything we ordered was delicious!
If you’re ever in the neighborhood and want some really good vegan food, this place is an easy reccomendation!

The obanzai set was so good, especially the tofu. It is also a a cute cafe with a calm atmophere & the owner was really kind. Overall a very yummy lunch, would highly recommend it!! (and I would go back just for the tofu if I could)

And for our lucky open in the holiday😄we ordered fresh spring rolls with cheese as starter, vegan grilled meat set meal and obanzai set meal, beers, ginger ale and as dessert parfait! All so good! The owner makes everything by his own and he is very nice. Was a little bit pricey, but it was worthy!

Amazing vegan cafe near kiyomizu-dera - Edit
This is a wonderful and very small restaurant (3 tables...) tucked away from the crowds on a side street but also very close to Kiyomizu-dera. We both ordered the soy meat set meal and it was the best vegan meat we have ever eaten. Delicious food from a one man show. English menu and owner speaks English and is a friendly guy. Maybe visit outside of peak lunch hour and if it's full when you arrive, go for a 15-20 minute walk in the temple close by and try again!
