Delicious vegan guachinche (typical canarian food) - Edit
Couldn’t take any pics as we were starving! The food was homemade and delicious. They had a daily menu for 6.50 or small plates. We had tortilla, croquettes and ropa nueva (chickpeas stew), also had arroz con leche and carrot cake beer. All for €16! Delicious! It’s homemade so don’t expect a fancy place. It is delicious though!!

Im Rahmen eines Urlaubs sind wir bei einem Besuch in La Laguna auf dieses kleine Lokal aufmerksam geworden. Es ist eines der sehr wenigen, die ausschließlich vegane Speisen anbieten. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung sind einfach, aber die Atmosphäre ist absolut authentisch. Der Betreiber, Koch und Servicekraft in einem, ist eine sympathische Persönlichkeit und im Hintergrund läuft klassische Musik. Als selbst überzeugter Veganer vermittelt er diese nachhaltige Ernährungsweise und diesen Lebensstil durch eine täglich wechselnde Speisekarte. Das Tagesmenü besteht aus einer frischen Gemüsesuppe (oder bei unserem zweiten Besuch innerhalb einer Woche aus einer Kichererbsensuppe), einem Hauptgang mit Kartoffeln, Seitan (oder ähnlichem) und Gemüse der Saison. Besonders lecker war das vegane Tiramisu als Dessert. Das Tagesmenü kostet nur sage und schreibe 6,50 Euro! Außer dem Tagesmenü gibt es noch eine kleine Auswahl an weiteren Speisen. Alles wird mit Sorgfalt zubereitet und orientiert sich geschmacklich an der kanarischen-spanischen Küche. Wer authentische vegane Hausmannskost auf Teneriffa sucht, ist hier genau richtig!

ENGLISH VERSION:
During a holiday, we came across this little place while visiting La Laguna. It is one of the very few that offer exclusively vegan dishes. We liked it very much. The ambience and furnishings are simple, but the atmosphere is absolutely authentic. The owner, a chef and service staff in one, has a friendly personality and classical music plays in the background. As a convinced vegan himself, he conveys this sustainable diet and lifestyle through a menu that changes daily. The daily menu consists of a fresh vegetable soup (or, on our second visit within a week, a chickpea soup), a main course with potatoes, seitan (or similar) and seasonal vegetables. The vegan tiramisu for dessert was particularly delicious. The menu of the day costs a whopping 6.50 euros! In addition to the daily menu, there is a small selection of other dishes. Everything is prepared with care and the taste is based on Canarian-Spanish cuisine. If you are looking for authentic vegan home cooking on Tenerife, this is the place for you!

We went with the menu and were more than happy. Simple, good food with local products and lots of fresh veggies. Home made seitan. Not the regular vegan burger you will find in other vegan places. Very nice owner and cheap prices.

We wanted to try something a little more Canarian and this delivered. They offer a set menu of three courses or you can order off a separate menu. We went for the set menu which is 3 courses for €6.50! You pay for drinks separately but they offer a variety of these including beer.

To start we were served a vegetable soup with beans in it alongside bread. We then received a vegetable stew with seitan and potatoes. Finally we were offered a choice of dessert and went for what seemed to be a crème caramel/Spanish flan topped with a delicious layer spiced with what seemed to be ginger, cloves, cinnamon etc.
Overall the food was delicious and the service was quick. It was very busy with every table being occupied while we were there so it might be worth trying to book if that’s possible.

Super homey and old school almuerzo spot. You can get the menu or the starter, entree and dessert for the day. I did the latter and it was delicious! All vegetables, nothing fancy - just good ol’ simple Spanish cooking.

Staff communicates very poorly in English. After asking for a table, we were told to wait even though one of the tables was free. The Staff looked like they were not happy we were waiting. After that, all the other tables and other new guests (speaking Spanish) were served while we were still waiting for a table (2 people). After 15 minutes of waiting, one of the empty tables was finally cleared. The food was acceptable but with only one option to choose from with none sophisticated dishes (cabbage and zucchini soup, tomato sauce with potatoes and seitan). For dessert there were some unrecognizable sweets to choose from (e. g. kind of rice gruel?). We chose the carrot cake, which turned out to be biscuits layered with grated raw carrots and cinnamon, which was distasteful. The cleanliness in the restaurant was so-so, and there were no door lock in the toilet.

I heard a lot of good opinions about this restaurant and always wanted to come for lunch. The place can be quite busy during lunchtime, so we booked a table in advance.
