I always come here for vegan mala noodle soup whenever I'm back in Korea😄There's a lot of veg options to choose from and is pretty affordable. Highly recommend! Just make sure you don't go too crazy with the spice level - 2.5 was more than enough for me ;)

It’s create your own bowl with plenty of vegan options to choose from! Lots of different mushrooms and vegetables and tofu. When I brought the bowl tot he staff he asked if I wanted vegan broth (I’m pretty sure he asks everyone). I got spice level 3 which was very spicy but very good. Nice to have a vegan option in hongdae. Also, there was a whole sign in front listing all the vegan options there. Must visit!

Build your own bowl is super satisfying because you can choose among so many veggies, tofus, and noodles. And there’s vegan soup broth. Card accepted. And plenty of seating. I got spicy level 2 and it was nice. 2.5 is also good if you like spicy but I’d be afraid to go beyond that. 😅 so delicious! I’d come here over and over again ☺️

You can create your soup according to your liking. Just put the things you want in a bowl. They have a lot of options: Tofu, different kinds of noodles, mushrooms, veggies etc. Just ask for veggie broth when you give the bowl to them:)

We loved this place and the food, it was sooo good. The concept is very easy: there is a Buffet of ingridients for the soup. You take a Bowl and put in all the ingridients you want to have. There are many vegan options, lots of veggies, Tofu, noodles, ricecake and much more. You than bring your bowl to the front and say you want the vegan broth. The staff speaks perfect english and will understand. They cook the soup for you with your chosen ingridients and it was sooo good. You can also choose between different hot spice levels. It was a great experience and I loved that you could chose what you want to have. Also the taste was really good and it was really cheap.

It is really delicious and healthy food! At first I was confused by the concept and whether you can go there alone but I quickly figured it out and the stuff understood that I want the vegan soup.

Hard to find - Edit
This place is hard to find as there is no English writing. The branding outside is blue and white and it is up some stairs. No English signs and no English spoken by staff but I have the Google translate app so could translate the instructions. You fill up your bowl with the veggies and noodles and they weigh it. Ask for vegan at the counter for the stock. Staff do seem to understand vegan.

I love that you can basically create your own dish by selecting the ingredients from a buffet yourself and then choose cooking style and level of spiciness. Just make sure you clarify that you want it to be vegan, so they use the plant-based stock for cooking.

This branch of Sonogong Maratang is more chilled and less crowded than the other ones in Gangnam and near Hongdae station.
