If you need non-boring vegan options, this is the place - Edit
Being a vegetarian with a vegan mom, and my brother and dad omnivores, it can be hard to find good options for everyone when we go out. This place is the perfect spot! I got the full montie nachos which were so amazing, and my mom got this hippie burger. There are plenty of other vegan options that sound so delicious, i hope to go back someday!

Good food!! - Edit
The vegan wings were awesome!!! Hand made with love you can tell!! I tried the nachos they were good nothing crazy, not like my top ten nachos I ever had but not bad. I loved the wings though!! I wish we had a place like this where I live! This bar has a fun atmosphere and really good food! Anywhere that has hand made vegan wings gets a good review in my book! As told the head chef is vegan also! Looking at pics on here it looks like the nachos looked better a few years ago, they were a little lackluster tbh. But I’d be willing to try other items here . Id definitely come back for the wings!

Great spot - Edit
This place’s menu is almost entirely vegan! They do have a few meat-eater options if you are with friends. The vegan options are all very creative takes on bar food and are super yummy. They have vegan wings which honestly were not my favorite (got the chickpea ones) but creative nonetheless! Also had the vegan supreme which is kind of like a way better version of the crunch wrap from taco bell. They also have good burgers!!

Best go-to on a night out! - Edit
Stella’s is a great place to grab some food on a night out if you’re in a diverse group of eaters. There’s something for everyone. On Mondays, they do 1/2 off vegan options, which is a must. My favorites are the vegan supreme and chickpea wings. I’m also sober, and Stella’s has a few great NA options, unlike a lot of places in the area. It’s a win-win all around, and everyone has a great time.

A bar with great vegan food! What a surprise! - Edit
Bar with a few good NA beer options and vegan fair. I was surprised by the number of options that weren’t just an easy impossible burger. I enjoyed my late night grub!

Punk Vegan in Grand Rapids - Edit
Stella’s Lounge is the de facto alt-vegan restaurant of Grand Rapids. There is rocking music, tattooed staff, and rows of arcade games ready to suck your quarters. Being right across from the Pyramid Scheme makes it a perfect spot to get a bite before a show.
Read moreStella’s is not an entirely vegan restaurant, but that doesn’t stop it from trying. The vegan section of the menu is extensive, and there is a rotating vegan special. They even offer Vegan Mondays - 1/2 off vegan food. The vegan seitan wings and vegan crunchwrap are highlights that delight. The vegan krabby patty is a lowlight; despite having a lot of ingredients on it, it struggles to be flavorful.
If you have the stomach for PBR (it’s a guilty pleasure) they usually have it real cheap on tap to wash down the delicious vegan junk food. They have whiskey cocktails, but honestly the PBR feels more at home.

Lots of Vegan Options - Edit
Lots of vegan options that don’t need modification. They also have a Meatless Monday promotion with half off select vegan meals. The vegan nachos were very good!

Okay - Edit
Had the chickpea wings and the fried avocado. Both were heavy and too oily. Cute place caters to a younger college crowd.

Incredible vegan wings! - Edit
Stella’s was recommended to me by a vegan friend, and specifically for the vegan wings. I was completely shocked at how incredible the food was, and the vast amount of vegan options available! The vegan options are some of the most creative that I’ve seen at a restaurant offering both vegan and non-vegan options! The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service was incredibly fast! The ambiance was second yo none! A very incredible atmosphere! I’ll definitely be back!

Mondays 1/2 off veggie food! - Edit
They have a meatless Monday deal for 1/2 off the price of a bunch of veggie foods - including Veggie Supreme which is like a vegan fancy Taco Bell Crunchwrap- which I thought was amazing. The poor man wings were just spiced potato wedges and were not my favorite - a plus though is you can ask for 1/2 of favor so we got 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 Buffalo. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options.

Delicious 😋 - Edit
Ate here while in town for Art Prize. A small wait while we had a drink at the bar. 2 of us shared the Full Monte nachos, Hippie Stuffed black bean & lentil burger, & Poor Man's Potato Wings hot buffalo style. Nachos was a generous portion of toppings that left you with few dry chips, Potato Wings..I would return to GR just for these. Seems they're battered & fried slathered in the hot sauce. Burger was good but quite fragile. Pieces of it dropped out each time I took a bite. Service was good & they moved us from a 2-person table to larger as soon as 1 was available to accommodate our 3 dish share plan!

Great food, options keep growing - Edit
I started eating Stella's about 1-2 years ago and I keep coming back for the poor man's wings. I love how they have not only vegan food but vegan sauces too, you can't have BBQ wings without some ranch and they have 2 vegan ranches to choose from. I have really enjoyed the sweet potato wrap for my meal as well.
Read moreRecently they added even more vegan options, and last night I tried the newly added Skrimp rangoon mac cheese which was amazing! They also added a vegan chorizo meal which I'll be trying next time.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking to satisfy your savory (good for your soul) side!
Pros: Many vegan options including sauces, Even a vegan dessert option, Really tasty food
Cons: If you're not into crowds order take out it , Not the place to go for healthy foods

Interesting take on bar food - Edit
Poor man’s wings (breaded and fried potatoes) were so good I’ll be dreaming of them later. Loved the vegan ranch and my husband said the Hawaiian impossible burger he had was the best burger he’s had in years. I didn’t really like the fake meat they put on the nachos? But it was pretty good other than that. Vegan Brownie was delicious.

The nachos were outstanding. And the sweet potato burrito was also great. The vegan ranch brought both the meals together. Def would come back for the nachos.

I had the Mission Impossible Hawaii burger, which had pineapple and bbq sauce on a pretzel bun. They just started offering ice cream sandwiches for dessert. I had the only vegan option and it was AMAZING!!! Great atmosphere. I’d go back!

We got the chickpea wings and the steak sandwich and one of their burgers. Really good food. The chronic fries were amazing. It was nice to have great options at a bar. Order the chickpea wings with the “hot” flavor.

Vegan comfort food - Edit
5 out of 5 stars for the vegan options! Atmosphere was super cool, staff was friendly and everything was reasonably priced. My mom, sister and are all vegan and were blown away by the Ted Avocado Nuggets and chick(pea) wings (my family who isn't vegan tried them and loved them as well)! The avocado nuggets were super crispy and the avocado ranch was so flavorful. We tried every flavor of the wings and enjoyed each one equally! The Mission Impossible burger sounded amazing but they were out of the patties. We will go back everytime we are in Michigan to visit family forsure.

Chickpea wings and so much more! - Edit
By far the best buffalo ‘wings’ I’ve had since being a vegan for about a year or so. Great bar located in downtown Grand Rapids. Lots of options including vegan ranch, impossible burger, tempeh ‘bull steak’ sandwich, and tons of vegan appetizers. Definitely recommend!!

Burgers, and rings, and ranch! Oh my! 5/5 - Edit
Trying to leave 5 out of 5 stars and the app is having issues.
Read moreIf you like onion rings order the vegan onion rings! They are Amazing! They are hand battered and crispy. Oily, so if you don't like oil then pass or just pat them with a napkin. They are so worth it! Get ranch or avocado ranch too. It's vegan and it's amazing.
We ordered the chickpea wings in bbq and mild with ranch for an appetizer which were delicious. Idk what kind of magic they are making happen with that ranch. It is fantastic. I've been vegan now for 2 years and this is by far the best vegan ranch I've tried.
Impossible burger for dinner. It's bonkers. I was a little nervous about it but our bartender was awesome and before I even said anything he let me know that it is 100% vegan and told me how people have called to check when ordering take out. It's so good. Hands down could fool a carnivore.
11/10 Will be back and bring some non vegans to try the vegan options next time.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff, Decent prices
