Burgers, and rings, and ranch! Oh my! 5/5

Trying to leave 5 out of 5 stars and the app is having issues.

If you like onion rings order the vegan onion rings! They are Amazing! They are hand battered and crispy. Oily, so if you don't like oil then pass or just pat them with a napkin. They are so worth it! Get ranch or avocado ranch too. It's vegan and it's amazing.

We ordered the chickpea wings in bbq and mild with ranch for an appetizer which were delicious. Idk what kind of magic they are making happen with that ranch. It is fantastic. I've been vegan now for 2 years and this is by far the best vegan ranch I've tried.

Impossible burger for dinner. It's bonkers. I was a little nervous about it but our bartender was awesome and before I even said anything he let me know that it is 100% vegan and told me how people have called to check when ordering take out. It's so good. Hands down could fool a carnivore.

11/10 Will be back and bring some non vegans to try the vegan options next time.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff, Decent prices

Favorite bar food

A good third of the menu is vegan. Multiple appetizers (poor man wings being my favorite), sandwiches, burgers (now featuring the impossible burger), and brunch too. Serves a wide variety of whiskey and plays retro TV shows. Great place to go out with friends.

Pros: Lots of options

Shockingly good

For a little bar there was a pretty extensive amount of vegan options! I got the chickpea wings with fries and my friend had the meatloaf. The wings were so good and nothing like I would have expected. The fries are seasoned sooo well and their ranch 🤤 The meatloaf was good too!! Tasted like Thanksgiving. All around an awesome meal, not too overpriced and our server was really nice.

Pros: Many options, Cool atmosphere, Really kind staff

Great All Around

Super fun comic themed atmosphere, and amazing staff. I'm obsessed with their seasoned fries and vegan ranch. Their vegan options are amazing- stuffed burgers, chicken sandwiches, and nachos among the ones I tried.

Pros: Amazing vegan options

Cons: The fries are addictive

love Stella’s

My favorite hangout spot! Love the atmosphere and decor, the Stella’s punch is amazing and their vegan burgers and spicy ‘chicken’ wings in vegan ranch are to DIE for. Sometimes the food makes me feel a little sick though - I have a sensitive stomach and their food can be pretty oily

Vegan Junkfood!!!

Loud and dark. Its a bar. If I want some fried food this is my choice. The "chicken" wings are good. As is the faux meat Philly cheese steak...dairy or vegan cheese available. I agree with the other reviewers that Stella's used to be better.

Not Impressed

When Stella's first opened the atmosphere was gimmicky and over-the-top, but it boasted a largely vegan menu and cheap drink specials. Having gone there several times during this period, I will say that their food was good, but not great. The prices were a tad high, and the quality was lacking. They also earned a reputation among my friends and I as having some of the worst waiting service in town. It took forever for anyone to come to our table, and when they did, it took them forever to get the order in.

Now Stella's has rebooted their menu, with higher prices and much less vegan food. Now most of their food options are either stuff with cheese or loaded with bacon, or both. I won't be making it a point to go back.

Cons: Prices, Bad Waitstaff, Food quality

Stella's Lounge Rocks

I'm a sucker for vintage arcade games. Put me in front of a Ms.PacMan and I'm entertained for hours. Add in Galaga, Centipede, Astroids, The Simpson's pinball machine and drinks and I'm one happy camper.

The vegan food was on the greasy side, but I was happy to see so many vegan offerings. I wouldn't come here for the food. I'd come here as somewhere fun to hang out with the added bonus that if you're hungry you can get something.

Note that I haven't been to Stella's since the menu change and bacon popcorn (yuck!) mentioned in the review below mine. So take this review with a grain of salt, and if you go to Stella's please post a review on Happycow so we can keep tabs on this place.

Changes

I used to LOVE Stella's and would go there every week or two. After they started messing with their hours things started to change ...for the worse. Vegans can't want lunch downtown, can they?

Prices went up to 12 dollars for a burger and fries, in which the vegan burger doesn't hold together after the first bite. Now you can also be treated to the smell of bacon popcorn....ick! Wrote to ask what was with the changes and got a snotty reply. Don't bother I'm not sure they will have much for vegan/veg to eat for much longer.

Its sad to see a good place go so far downhill!

Pros: Poor man's wings, cheap beer

Cons: price gone up, parking not avaliable or $7, Kids during the day

Food is greasy and a bit gross

The food is greasy and a bit gross, but well priced. The atmosphere is a bar and very relaxed/hip. Only the devil masks are a bit odd.
Unless you are going there for the atmosphere, don't bother going for the food. (sad to say)

Pros: Price, Atmosphere

Cons: Taste, Greasy, Gross

Cool Place!

My fiancé and i recently went here. It's all vegan except for a grilled cheese sandwich and a small section of burgers call the "pet cemetery". the onion rings were awesome. we had the eggplant and "bacon" sandwich and a buffalo "chicken" sandwich and both were delicious. the sandwiches came with there homemade chips. everything was great and we will be going back a lot i am sure. also, lots of cool arcade games in the back like a scary funhouse pinball machine and ms. packman to boot!

Pros: tasty, fast

Cons: hipsters

August 2025.

Wow! I had the first review for this place. Well a lot has changed to say the least. Let's see... there are still a few vegan options including really good fries and "poor-mans wings"... I think they use the impossible products for their burgers, of which I am not a fan (if you are going to use store-bought, it's gotta be Beyond Meat)... ummm... there's arcade games, that's pretty cool i guess.

Not sure how to edit a review on here but I'd probably update to 2 or maybe 3 stars. OK in a pinch.
