Lovely all around - Edit
We loved the food, ambiance, and lovely staff at Stereo! We had the Nam Khao and Buffalo Burger, both were delicious. For dessert, we shared the Black Forest Tiramisu, which reminded us more of Black Forest cake, but it was really good anyway. The vibe was really nice and welcoming and staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, a definite recommendation!

The staff were lovely and the food is amazing. They also have a DIY music venue right in front the restaurant with good shows and bands.

Food is unreal! - Edit
We had 4 dishes and 2 cocktails: dumplings, haggis, Camembert and chips, and the drinks were black currant gimlet and passionfruit margarita. Every single mouthful was incredible, so so tasty. I could happily eat there every day. Huge choice of drinks and the staff were friendly.

A welcoming place - Edit
Stumbled in here almost by accident because we were just looking for a place to get some chips around the Central station but wow, what a nice surprise! The Stereo is a very welcoming, integrative place that’s here for everybody, and besides the nice atmosphere, the food is nothing but great - finally found a place that offers vegan Haggis! Absolute banger of a vegan restaurant, would love to come here again!

We had the haggi, camembert and the greek salad. The haggi was great, probably the best and the camembert was very good. The greek salad was okay but not the best.

Classics done right - Edit
I popped into Stereo for a bite before jumping on a train - it's really conveniently located, just a stone's throw away from Glasgow Central, tucked in a small side street. Their menu is full of interesting and creative stuff, and they have daily specials which looked interesting, but I was craving a burger, so that's what I had. I know some people were disappointed with their food, but mine was delicious, the patty was fullf of flavour and I particularly liked the miso and nooch sauce. The chips were incredible, and the portion size perfect for someone very hungry. I'll try to visit again to test some of their more unusual recipes.

Great bar with good food - Edit
Tucked down an alleyway just close to central station, this bar was packed with a great vibe. Good beers and nice staff and had one of the chicken burgers with buffalo sauce. Friend had the deep friend haggis balls. Both were great with good size portions. Recommend

Update July 2024: After a few years, I was back in town for one night, so made a bee-line for Stereo. (Easy to reach from Central or Queen Street train station.) The burger description attracted me, but I chose the polenta with pea pods, zucchini and Savoy cabbage - it was tasty, and green food is good! Also had Black Forest tiramisu, which was lovely.

Busy and loud at 2 pm on a weekday. Sandwiches include tempeh with caramelized onion, which was delicious. I had the sandwich with soup - carrot & lentil, very good. Daily specials included a wrap and salad. Noticed a sign for World Vegan Day saying "all food half-price." Great stuff.

Delicious quick bite - Edit
We stopped here for lunch after arriving at the train station, and everything was delicious! I also appreciate that our server warned me that the Greek salad was quite small, so I could order hummus and flatbread as well.

Avoid - Edit
Ive visited good few times in past decade and slowely it has been going down the hill. I remember days years ago when you could get proper delicious food here. Unfortunately it hasnt been the case in last few years. I had silesian dumplings which were hard and were swimming in a dill soup (they meant to be served with sauce) definitely not great. Buffalo cauliflower ( which I tried in different places few times and loved it) were greasy and the sauce was horrible and I felt sick after eating 2. Mayo has no taste and has a texture cream cheese. Ketchup is passata. I dont remember eating somewhere where everything was not tasty . My friend had a burger and she didnt enjoy it.

Happy to have visited this place for lunch. It is a nice quiet spot (in the day at least I haven't tried it in the evening) and was perfect for a quick meal.

Chilled Out Vibes & Great Food - Edit
I adore stereo! I'm not in the city too often anymore and I'm always trying new places when I am there but I always manage to squeeze stereo in. I've unfortunately not tried their new dinner menu but it looks amazing, I'm mainly there at lunch time and I've never had a bad meal. Their carrot lox bagel was an all time favourite for me but I can confirm that their cheez on toast and ramen are also fantastic.
Read moreI would definitely recommend getting some cocktails if you can because they are incredible and really unique. They used to do one with absinthe in it and it was insanely good but I'm not sure if they still do.
I've seen a few people not too happy in the reviews about the speed of the service but it's never really bothered me much, it's very chilled out in there and I'm happy to sip a cocktail and chat or if I'm there alone just read my book and listen to the music while waiting.
Pros: Varied Food Options, Interesting Cocktails

Amazing place!!! - Edit
Always missed vegan pubs/bars like this, the only one I've ever been was in Vilnius, and due to COVID crisis closed permanently. We were starving and arrived there almost at 6 pm, ordered two main dishes (forgot their names) and 2 pints of the guest draught (with cassis, sour and delicious!). For dessert, the cannoli. Everything's perfect! Service, food, drinks, also it is a political space (vegan is nothing more than political) and I really LOVED that and felt myself safe there. Long life to the Stereo!!!
