Clearly Labelled Vegan Options - Edit
I appreciate the number of vegan options. The garden balls were really good. Miso soup is more expensive than another sushi restaurant I go to, and this time I couldn't even eat it. Ordered to go and the miso soup flavor was off and tasted like plastic. I like the veganzilla roll, but it is expensive and last time it was wrapped really poorly. Wish there were more creative vegan rolls like it on the menu or a mix and match option for the other simpler ones. Quality could use improvement for price. Carrot tempura was sub par on the garden on fire roll.

Veganzilla sushi roll for the win - Edit
Was super excited to have a vegan sushi roll that had more to it than rice and veggies and this didn't disappoint. I’ve made it here several times now. There’s plenty of vegan options, so I’ve always been able to try something new, and it’s all pretty good! The place is a vibe; I hear it gets a little wild when it’s late, but haven’t witnessed it myself just yet.

One of my favorite places - Edit
I absolutely LOVE the sushi here. Lots of good options for vegans and vegetarians. Often times I go with friends who are not vegan or vegetarian, and will ask my server if it's at all possible to make my sushi on a separate surface (especially since I have a moderate allergy to seafood). They are usually very happy to comply. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, was because one time when I had asked for my vegan roll to be prepared separately from those dining with me...it came to the table on a separate plate, but there were fish eggs everywhere on the outside of my roll. Other than that one experience, everything has been absolutely wonderful. Great food, great options, fun atmosphere.

Unimpressed is an Understatement - Edit
I ordered from here because I saw it had decent reviews. I was let down so hard. I ordered the spider roll and it was atrocious, but I still ate it because I didn’t want to waste my money. Maybe the atmosphere is cool and it seems like they have a good vegan selection but I honestly have had better sushi from Kroger.

Would have given a 5 star if possible. Great atmosphere and vegan selections. - Edit
This place is on Main Street just off W Cary Street in Richmond. Park your car and plan to explore. Start at this restaurant and enjoy a great selection of vegan sushi, soups, and an Impossible Burger if you lean that way.

Amazing vegan sushi - Edit
If I could, would give this place 5 stars. Great service - very friendly and thoughtful. LOTS of vegan options, as in 10 vegan menu items. Delicious vegan sushi that was also really creative and aesthetically pleasing.

SO many delicious vegan options!! - Edit
Every other place I’ve gotten vegan sushi I’ve had to just stick with a bowl of miso and avocado rolls. Not here. There’s a whole category for veggie sushi and almost every roll in that category comes vegan or can be made vegan. They have mock chikn, vegan cream cheese, the beyond burger, follow your heart vegan Gouda available. They also have vegan salads, bowls, and sandwiches available, too for anyone who doesn’t want sushi. Not to mention vegan specials every Wednesday night! The atmosphere is fun, food is amazing... don’t skip this place!!

Get the VeganZilla and garden balls - Edit
They’re delicious and the tots are pretty dank too but I’m fairly certain the sauce that comes with the tots isn’t vegan. The mockzilla is good too. They have vegan sushi specials on Wednesday’s from 4-6 I think.

Fun Vegan Options and great staff - Edit
I've been here a couple of times and will go back. They have great Vegan appetizers like tempura and lettuce wraps as well as great noodle bowls. I had the Dirty Vegan Noodle Bowl and loved it. Friendly staff too. They also have non-vegan options for those who want that.

Worth trying! - Edit
Great vegan/ vegetarian sushi options! They offer vegan cream cheese as well as vegan miso soup that tastes delicious. The bucket of tots comes with a spicy sauce that can be made vegan. They also have a few different sushi burritos that are pretty good. My only gripe is that it can get pretty expensive, and I wish that they offered an "all you can eat" option at least once a week.

decent sushi - Edit
This place was decent. Good service, good sushi, fresh veggies and a sushi bar full of girls making sushi which is hard to come by. My only issue was the lack of Japanese people or any people of color working, it is a sushi bar after all. It was definitely two $$, but they have buckets of tots!

Must Try Local Spot - Edit
One of my must visits when in Richmond. Menu is clearly marked on vegan or vegan option items. Try more than one roll! My favorites are the hot hippie and silence of the yams. Also, the vegan sticky rice dessert is delish.

LOTS of vegan sushi - Edit
Their veggie sushi is out of this world - they have creative specials (a lot of times the specials are veg!) as well as permanent menu items. You will want to come back a lot to try all of their veg options, because they have more than sushi. A lot more.
Read moreNOTE: The main Sticky Rice Restaurant (on the right side of the street - it's a one-way street) can get SO busy. They also have a To-Go place right across the street on the left side.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Casual Atmosphere
Cons: Can be really busy, Can be really noisy (especially if busy), Somewhat expensive

Totally Amazing - You Have to Try this Place! - Edit
I've never had tempura dishes like the ones I've had here, and on a completely unrelated note the tater tots are amazing. I love coming here on rainy days to take advantage of the $1 PBRs. You need to come here and try everything - you won't regret it!!

Gotta try it if in Richmond - Edit
This place is awesome for a "twist" on traditional sushi. It's a pan-Asian eatery with plenty of awesome choices. If you love the idea of sushi, go here to satiate that veg need for sushi! There are more than half-a-dozen vegan options, and they are ALL good. The soy sauce isn't low-sodium though, and their wasabi is kind of weak.... but the options are awesome. I love the Hot Hippy and there's a sweet potato tempura roll! Also, spicy avocado, cucumber rolls, Garden Balls (tempura-fried rice-stuffed inari pockets - HUGE portions!)... not to mention shiitake sushi! Everything is delish, and I love it!
Read moreThe best part is ordering a bucket of tots with vegan mayo-dipping sauce. Spicy and yummy! Good appetizer!
Also, there are lots of yummy bowls of noodles - you pick the noodles or rice, and then there's the toppings. The Dirty Vegan is good and so is the Veggie Medley. Wakame Salad rocks, and so does the VEGAN miso soup!! Tofu bites too... lettuce wraps... mock chicken... Lots of options, filling, cheap and goooooood! Go go go!
The lines are a wait on the weekends and some evening, but it's so good, it's worth it. They have a to-go location right across the street for no fuss access!!
