Amazing vegan Lasagna! - Edit
Would give 5 stars if the app would let me (restaurant serves meat).
Read moreServer was very accommodating to vegan diet plus allergies. He recommended extra items to me that could be veganized even though the menu didn't call them out. I went with the vegan lasagna (with house-made GF noodles, house-made almond ricotta and mozzarella) and it was incredible!!

Solid Italian spot with some nice options - Edit
The pizza was great! Lots of great veggies and the right amount of cheese. The buttercup cocktail was amazing despite the weird combination of mixers. The lasagna was a little dry despite all the sauce but the flavor was great and the vegan ricotta was really well done.

Ambient Italian with solid vegan options - Edit
It's so rare to find an Italian restaurant with vegan options beyond a side salad and pasta with red sauce, so huge kudos for that! We really enjoyed the vegan lasagna, which is more a traditional ricotta style. It was a little cold so we had it reheated, and then a bit dry (no sauce in the layers) but quite good once we put the red sauce from the dish on it. The meatball pizza was pretty good, great crust but slightly dry and could have had a little more flavorful sauce. The drinks were great (aperol spritz, beer, wine, port, espresso - we sampled a variety). The service was a bit inconsistent which is understandable as it was a very busy Saturday night, but I could see our server was trying to get closing tasks done ahead of time and chatting with staff even though the restaurant was 30 min plus away from closing, and we were already almost done with our main course. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend it. Would have given it full stars except the food could have been a little better and the service issue mentioned.

Amazing Lasagna - Edit
After reading several reviews raving about their vegan lasagna(also happens to be gluten-free) we decided to give it a shot. We weren’t sure what to expect but the reviews were not wrong! The lasagna is sooo good! They also offer a vegan pizza but we didn’t try it. Maybe next time!

Vegan Lasagna is Outstanding!!! - Edit
Omg…if you’ve ever made vegan lasagna with homemade almond ricotta, you know it’s delicious, but quite an ordeal. To have it in a restaurant is such a treat! The portion was substantial and I savored every bite. Huge thanks to the chef for creating such a fabulous vegan entree to a traditional Italian menu. If you’re vegan, treat yourself!!! (The vegan pizza is fabulous as well 😊)

Italian as it gets - Edit
Strada Italiano is warm and inviting. When you’re here you’re family and all of that. The chef has put genuine care into creating an authentic Italian dish for vegan diners. Their vegan lasagna is the best lasagna I’ve ever had. The flavors are rich and don’t expose a hint of compromise. A stay in Asheville would be lacking if it doesn’t include dinner at this restaurant.

Love the venue. Staff incredibly friendly & courteous. The first question our server asked after greeting us was “are there any dietary restrictions?” Not much vegan options, only vegan lasagna and build your own pizza…both were excellent tho. We got this place anytime we feel like Italian.

I have not had a good lasagna since becoming vegan five years ago. Strada has an outstanding vegan and gluten-free lasagna that blew me away! My daughter had spaghetti. Several vegan and gluten-free options are on the menu including a focaccia bread. Service was also excellent.

Brunch —not many options - Edit
Went here for brunch with some friends. There were really only 2 options, the vegan lox or vegan breakfast poutine. I got the breakfast poutine, which was honestly excellent, but a $5 up charge to make it vegan? Come on!

This is the only place I know of in Asheville that offers a vegan lasagna. It’s a nice little Italian restaurant and the waitstaff are knowledgeable about vegan options. They also have vegan goat cheese!
