Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Traditional czech cuisine - Edit
We ordered a kebab plate with fries and pita, a Mojito mocktail, a soy sirloin in creamy vegetable sauce, a cherry red Tequila mocktail and a homemade lemonade (blueberry lavender).
Read moreEverything was very tasty, maybe a bit bland, but you could use some salt and pepper.
For us it was very special, because you don't get the traditional czech cuisine in Germany.
Very very special (in a positive way!) are the mocktails! Very cheap (when you compare the czech prices with german prices..) and you get alcoholfree Tequila, alcoholfree Rum, alcoholfree Gin and alcoholfree Wine. So the Mojito mocktail tasted like an original Mojito.
We paid 40€ for everything.
I don't have to mention that the concept of the restaurant is excellent.
Pros: The czech cuisine, The prices, The concept
Cons: Maybe a bit bland

Must visit place - Edit
This place is a must visit for anyone coming to Prague. They offer vegan versions of Czech dishes, vegan alcohol - including tasty Czech beer. The staff is kind and helpful and the waiting time for food is not long.

Worth a visit - Edit
While not the best meal ( food could've been hotter and the seiten was a bit bland) we ate in Prague, it's worth a visit for the lovely staff, cute, cosy interior and a great ethos

Nice Food But Quite a Mixup - Edit
We ordered 2 Svickovas off the special menu but 2 lentil bowls turned up, when we said that’s not what we ordered they took the lentil bowls away, we were then told they have now ran out of Svickova which was very disappointing. Not wanting it to go to waste we asked for one of the lentil bowls back (which was now luke warm) and had to wait for a kebab to be cooked. It would have been nice to be offered a discount or the lentil bowls for free for the mixup as we don’t like things going to waste. We later had a drink order mixed up too, the waiter was clearly having a bad day which we all have from time to time but I would just offer the mixup for free or half price rather than it go to waste. It was also quite cold in the restaurant after getting soaking in the rain we were hoping to warm up and dry out in the restaurant but we ended up just sitting there freezing. The chai latte was also a very small portion too it was gone in 4 mouthfuls.

Schönes Restaurant mit toller Auswahl an Gerichten und sozialem Konzept. Kleiner Abzug, da mein Essen leider etwas sehr trocken war und das Getränk lange gedauert hat. Ansonsten sehr weiterzuempfehlen:)

Fantastic with a cause - Edit
We’ve been here twice for lunch. There’s a special lunch menu with an appetizer and entree, as well as a full menu. Every time we’ve been here, the food has been fantastic and a great chance to try vegan versions of traditional Czech dishes or fun snacks (we’ve tried the chips, the cheese board, the no-ribs, no-duck, and goulash). The staff is lovely and attentive, and if you choose you have the opportunity to prepay half or full of the lunch for a person in need.

Heavenly - Edit
This restaurant has a lot of typical Czech dishes as well as more common ones like burgers. I went for the ribs in plum sauce and they were extremely delicious. The serving size was pretty big, which means you get a lot for your money. Generally, I think the prices at the restaurant are very fair.

I wish everywhere was like this - Edit
We ended up here pretty much every day we were in Prague - what’s not to love?! The food is hearty and traditional, the prices are reasonable, the mission is admirable. If every business was like this one the world would be a much better place.
Read moreWe came for two lunches and a dinner (be sure to reserve a table for dinner, as we were turned away the first night we tried without a booking, and when we went back the next night with a booking there were a lot of people being turned away!).
