Must visit!

If I could eat here every day I would! I was so close to breaking into the kitchen to see if someone in there would consider marrying me!

The buffet is huge! They advertise that they have 90 different dishes. I didn’t count them, but after stuffing myself to the point I had to be rolled home, I definitely believe them. There’s a bit of everything: hot and cold, sweet and spicy, many different kinds of buns, noodles, “meats”, fruits, sweets, and deliciously cooked vegetables. We came back the next day because we realised that there was no way we could try everything we wanted in one go, and the buffet was actually a bit different the next day. There’s definitely something for everyone, and after trying as many different thing as I could possibly fit in my big stomach, I only found one thing I wasn’t a big fan of - everything else tasted amazing! My only complaint is that the drink selection isn’t too exciting and the soda tasted very watered down.

The staff don’t speak English but they were very friendly and still tried to communicate with us. The place has a nice atmosphere, and even though it looks to be pretty popular it didn’t feel too loud or crowded.

The price pr person is 68 yuan, which I think is very nice for the amount of food.

Pros: Looots of different vegan dishes to try, Cheap, Friendly staff and nice atmosphere

Cons: The drinks weren’t very exciting , No English on the buffet signs

Vegan bliss!

As a vegan, finding an all vegan buffet is heaven enough. The food here is good as well! Temple of Heaven 2? This was a great find. Highly recommended.

Pros: Everything is vegan!, Tasty mains, salads, soups and buns., Make sure to go to the counter by the kitchen too.

Cons: The family said the desserts were not sweet enough

What a gem!

Vegan, all you can eat, cheap and delicious - what more can you ask for? Nice atmosphere, good variety of soups, mock meat and veggie dishes.

I arrived quite late in the evening so the dishes weren’t that hot anymore. Had a great feast nevertheless.

If you come from Tiananmen square or Qianmen station, it’s easy to find when you just walk west along Qianmen West street and look for Vege Tiger sign. Apple maps showed correctly. They have different seating times so double check it’s open before you go.

Best Vegan Chinese Buffet

The staff is very friendly (I’m a foreigner and sometimes places aren’t happy about that) and they have limited English to help explain things. The price is a flat 68 RMB for all you can eat. There is a large variety of Chinese and non-Chinese types of food from appetizers, mains and desserts. Remember to wear a provided disposable glove when taking your food. During covid their hours of operation are limited to lunch times (11-2).

Super nice all you can eat

After searching a bit (the marker at Happy Cow isn't correct) we found this nice restaurant. It's near the Quinamen. We got the tip that it's near to the Mc Donald's, so we searched for mc Donald's at Apple Maps and found the restaurant easily. The food was much better and healthier as the fast food nearby. We had the chance to discover a lot of different dishes from the north Chinese cuisine and enjoyed our 1.5 hour stay a lot. It as Saturday and around 6pm it was already very crowded.
Don't miss the pancakes and the vegan chicken with sweet sour sauce.
We paid 68 Y. The price was completely okay for what we got.

Pros: All vegan buffet

great buffet - arrive early, prepare for crowds

One can order off a menu, but the big draw is the buffet: 11-1:30, 5:30-7:30. The restaurant is open a half-hour past the buffet being open.
Fresh, varied buffet for roughly US$9-10. Soups, salad, fruit, many vegetable and tofu dishes, noodles, rice, steamed bread, beverages, etc. I especially loved the sticky rice steamed in leaves, stuffed with chestnut and tofu.

Vegan allyou csn eat buffet

US$9.00 will get you a big a wide variety of dishes.
Has it all desserts, soups and fruit to accompany the twenty or so dishes to choose from.
Unlimited komboocha bar.

The food does not leave you feeling bloated despite the huge amounts of food you end up devouring.

Love it. When there two days in a row and turned dinner invites so i can go back.

Very convenient for vegans

During my stay in Beijing this was the only place I ate out - five days in a row.
As vegan food isn't always easy to fine, Vege Tiger was a good and safe option for me.
It's a buffet restaurant with plenty of dishes to choose from: soups, salads, mains, sides, desserts, drinks...
A bit more expensive than average, but decent food.
Apparently there's even an option to become member and receive a discount - like spending 3000 yuan and getting 500 for free. Good thing if you're staying for a longer period of time. However, almost nobody speaks English, so it's good to go with someone who speaks Mandarin.
Food might become lukewarm at times, or run out, but usually always plenty to choose from - it's very unlikely you leave unsatisfied.
Not so many drinks though, also might run out more quickly.
Very nice soups, I liked them the most, even tough they are notably the least fresh foods there (may be from day before, just heated up again).
Desserts wasn't so much my liking - try yourself.
Staff ok, but not overly attentive or helpful.
Notorious lack of napkins.

Nice buffet

Had the buffet between 17:30-20:00. I arrived at about 18:15 and the food was still plenty and warm and it wasn’t crowded at all. There were a lot of dishes, also vegetables and soups and fake meats, and even a lot of sweets. A good variety. They spoke only a little bit English and had English explanations at the food, listing what was in there. Of course it was still a big buffet, so a bit impersonal, but the actual food was fine. The drinks were interesting though, strawberry juice and so on, not really everyone’s taste.

I paid 68 Yuen.

When I asked them if they were vegan, the staff explained that they were vegetarian, without meat, fish, eggs and milk. That was enough for me.

Pros: Many options, English lists of ingredients

Cons: Impersonal style, Strange drinking options

Good but a little expensive...

The food was good but the buffet price is kind of expensive only because of the location.
Suhu has another all-you-can-eat restaurant near Tsinghua University and you pay at least 20¥ less for practically the same food. I guess it's good if you're in that area and you're hungry though.

all you can eat

Really tasty buffet for 70, so not on the cheap side, but definitely worth the money.
A lot of vegetable options, if you are not into all the mock meat stuff.

Cons: closes early

A saviour for vegans in Beijing

So stoked to find this vegan paradise and have a filling, decent meal. All of the mains are delicious, especially the eggplant. Myself and my friends did not enjoy the desserts, but that could be because they were very traditional Chinese desserts with little sugar.

Great location, decent value

Location main selling point. Detailed descriptions of each dish in English. Good value, wide variety, all you can eat. Careful with opening times, when we went it was closing down around 7.30pm some dishes being emptied. However you might prefer to go when it is a bit quieter, I can imagine it is very popular at some times.

We went at 11.00am another time and (from what I could understand) it seemed that we could sit down but could not start eating until 11.30? I think they just have to wait until all the dishes are ready. It seemed busier than the later dinner service.

Mock meats and veggies, salads soups. A few western styles: potato chips/fries. Steamed buns and sweets. Deep fried mushrooms.

The location and buffet style is the main selling point, if you are willing to explore the city and take risks, you can probably find more interesting locations and more local styles of food but it is great to have a convenient mainstream place too. Who am I kidding, if you are a western vegetarian or vegan in Beijing, you will almost certainly end up here at some point! We did - 3x in a week.

Don’t be late

We came 7.30pm and had to pay less but there was also not so much food and they were not really hot. Although the selection and the huge variety of things was really impressive and we had a super tasty dinner. Due to the buffet style it’s quite crowded and is more like a canteen than a restaurant but all in all absolutely recommended for trying out a lot of different Chinese dishes.

Pros: Biiiiiig selection

Tasty vegan buffet

Vegan buffet with large variety of options including rice, noodles, veggie dishes and fake meat options. Limited drink options though. Arrive early if you want the full food variety and for food to be hot! Although if you arrive later they do reduce the price. We went three times and paid between 30 and 70 per person depending what time we arrived. Easy enough to find-on the same main street as Qianmen station and the owners speak some English.
