Good vegan options - Edit

I was pleasantly surprised to see multiple vegan options including dessert. The Beyond burger was very satisfying and the side relish delicious.

Pub side great. Food not so! - Edit

Only came as it was pouring down and it was close to hotel.
The pub is great but the food was average at best. Very limited vegan options (Burger or mushroom chilli on main course).
Opted for burger as it was Beyond meat and generally ok. Came with awful coleslaw and slice of vegan cheese.
Wish I had got wet now and gone somewhere good for food and then come back for a drink!

Pros: Great atmosphere , Fine line up of spirits

Cons: Very limited vegan options on menu, Food below average

Avoid the mushroom and ale pudding (pie) - Edit

While the menu says this vegan option contains suet, I was assured there were no animal products and so ordered the Woodland Mushroom and Ale Pudding after reading about it here on HappyCow. It was overwhelmingly and disgustingly mushroomy - and I love mushrooms! My partner also thought his food was bad. I paid over €16 for this and a drink.

Cons: Expensive and bad food

Tasty and friendly - Edit

Great vegan selection, but it's on a separate menu available at the bar which isn't obvious if you just see the normal menu on the table (which does have some vegan things just not as many). The vegan fish and chips is no longer available but the mushroom and ale pie is yummy. Staff are very friendly but not 100% sure on vegan things.
Busy pub atmosphere which we enjoyed.

Pros: Good vegan selection

Cons: Have ro ask for separate menu and know it exists
