Great choice for a delicious and inexpensive lunch - Edit
I had the watermelon agua del día, flavorful soup and crispy flautas. Served with salsa, vegan cream, lettuce and guacamole. The service was great and very quick with all of the items. The filling of the flautas was flavorful but not too very spicy. I would recommend this and order it again.
Read moreFor dessert I ordered the creamy and soft tiramisu. A delightful combination of cream, coffee, chocolate and cake. I liked that it was not overly sweet (but still plenty sweet to be a dessert).
The staff are always very friendly and quick to serve. The prices here are great and I love their different specialty items they offer on the weekends. On Saturdays they have a buffet!

If you are in Mexico City and you love street food, just budge into Taco Vegan. It is full of young people, lot of chattering and chewing. You get some good street food taste here. It is very local. If you are there, my guarantee is you will love the Tacos and the Barbasetas and Desserts. You get beer too. It is a small wayside eatery with wall drawings of cute Animals and Gandhiji quotes. An occassional doggie petting can also happen if you are lucky. So enjoy. Real dope place with a lot of friendly people. 😄

Good vegan food for reasonable costs. Most items contain soy but there are 2 or 3 tacos that don’t (quinoa and seitan).
Read moreThey are very nice but don’t speak English. Also, it took 15 minutes and asking 6 times to receive the check on a non busy visit (maybe 2 other guests in the restaurant).
But overall, I’d definitely eat here again and was very satisfied with the meal.

Simple and real vegan Mexican - Edit
I ate here on my last two days in Mexico and ordered multiple tacos on both days (they are small). They were satisfying, inexpensive, and filling. The best thing about the restaurant is how unpretentious and real it is. It's in the Guerrero District, which is kind of gritty, but the place is very welcoming, with a good mixture of local and non-local customers. Plus, it's always great to find a 100% vegan restaurant when you are traveling and speak little of the native tongue.
