Farm oasis at the foot of the Catskills

We were very lucky to get a booking here as a pair, since this restored farm is usually rented out as the whole house. Just a wonderful place in every way, from the chic farm-modern decor to the friendly animals who will come up to you and the warm kind owners who have excellent recommendations on things to do in the area -- which is much more vegan-friendly than expected. I cannot imagine the work it takes to run such a place. The included tour was substantial and non-judgmental but also realistic about what animals in this industry endure due to razor-thin profit margins. Make sure to pack some boots. The kitchen here is fantastic and well-stocked. Alas, if only more Airbnbs came with vegan mayo and tofu in the fridge, lol. The view out the back window overlooks the fields and barns, breathtaking. We saw 2 bald eagles in a tree. The barn cats hang around the house and are very welcoming, something I just love. We didn't even turn on a tv the whole time, too much else to do. Treat yourself! All the money goes to a good cause.
