I ordered the plate of the day (fried tofu on a hummus-like base, basmati rice, red cabbage and sweet potato) and a mango and coconut cheesecake and they were otherworldly. Plus the vibe of the venue is sooo good

Es una nave industrial que contiene una tienda de plantas y flores frescas y secas. El espacio en sí ya es precioso. Además tiene un restaurante/café. La carta es sencilla pero todo lo que comimos estaba delicioso. El menú del día cambia a diario y lo sirven hasta las 15:00. El resto del día tiene una carta de cafetería con hamburguesa, ensalada, tostas… Es vegetariano pero muchas de las opciones pueden veganizarse fácilmente. Para rematar, permiten entrar a perros ❤️

The place is stunning, like you would be sitting in a garden. The burgers we had were unfortunately very dry - otherwise the ingredients were nice.

It’s a nice space but the food was average. I’ve read a somewhat negative review before going there and exactly the same happened to us. The only real vegan savoury option was no longer available and it was only 11am.

What a beautiful venue 🌳 🤩 - Edit
Great service in an interesting and beautiful venue. The service was exceptional in a captivating and lovely setting. I indulged in coffee and cake, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Meanwhile, my friend enjoyed a vegetarian meal and found it equally delightful.

Only 3 vegan savory options in the menu and 1 of them was sold out (at 14:30). I had the burger and it was very dry and tasted mostly like cilantro spice. It was also very tough on my stomach, very hard to digest for some reason. It is definitely not worth 13 euros! The service was very slow and the waitress couldn't remember what they sold out (out of 3 options they have!). I have it 2 stars because the beatroot juice I had was very nice and the place looks cool.

Wife and i believed the reviews saying 'plenty of vegan options'. 4 pancake flavours and 3 main dishes ( two, one was sold out) is not 'plenty.
Read moreBurger for 13€ was dry and tasteless, the 'bread with bean paste' was literally like a 50cent bread from Lidl with some vegetables on top. All in all, not horrible, but far from tasty, especially for that $$ range.
The fresh juices were nice though.
I'd skip it next time

We didn't have a reservation but they put our party of 6 upstairs on the balcony which was ideally tucked away with three kids.

Super cozy place next to a plant store. Amazing food, well seasoned. I ate the Cassava plate and it was super delicious. The vegan mousse cake is amazing, it melts in the mouth (and really remembered me a Brazilian dessert called brigadeiro). Super recommended!

O Restaurante Terrárea é muito mais do que um restaurante pois para além do espaço de restauração propriamente dito funciona também como um horto por assim dizer.
Mas recorrendo à própria definição do próprio espaço:
“Terrárea, um espaço Natural que une o universo das Flores/ Plantas, Decoração e Café. Uma experiência”
O restaurante/café propriamente dito acaba por funcionar de uma forma muito consonante com o espírito do lugar já que em parte nos sentimos transportados para uma floresta por assim dizer.
A decoração é genial e a comida, do que tivemos oportunidade de experimentar, não lhe fica nada atrás.
Por outro lado o Terrárea vem contribuir para que Matosinhos se afirme indubitávelmente como um pólo cada vez mais consolidado do vegetarianismo no norte do país.
Então, a ementa que tivemos oportunidade de degustar consistiu em:

Kafta de Lentilhas e Cogumelos com taboulé de cous-cous, tomate cherry, Pepino e ervas com tabneh, pickles de cebola rôxa e snack de ervilha
Ambos provados e completamente “aprovados”. Ficamos por certo com vontade de regressar e trazer os amigos. Se bem que nem sempre é fácil conseguir lugar, o que costuma ser por sua vez também um bom indicador.

The restaurant has seating indoors and outdoors, both surrounded with a powerful aroma of flowers. The menu is all vegetarian, and mostly vegan.

Very Good Food, Cute Space - Edit
We ate here twice during our stay in Matosinhos. Everything tasted fresh, carefully prepared, and very flavorful. Some of the items we tried: the pancakes with chocolate ganache, sourdough toast, Verbena open faced toast, coffees, cappuccinos. Vegan items are marked on the menu, the staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few tables outside.

Pets aloud and people welcomed with open arms. Really liked this spot. The food was beautiful and delicious. There are a lot of vegan options and it’s possible to get vegetarian food in a vegan way. The staff is very kind. There is even a shop inside with a lot of cool stuff!

It's a beautiful place, but my experience was lacking. It was understaffed which is understandable nowadays, but if that's the case, I'd recommend some multi-lingual signs that say as much 🙂 There were not many vegan options that day, no French toast, wasn't sure if bagel bread was vegan, so I took a vegan croissant. Served cold and cut in half with a small pot of tasty jam! I had a soy mocha which was mostly foam and didn't taste like coffee!
