Cute Hidden Gem 💎 - Edit
This was us kinda out of the way of all the busy streets which was exactly what we needed after walking around nearly being hit by bikes and trams! Loads of really yummy sounding options, I went for the Caribbean Plate which was very good and my other half (non veg) had the Vegan Plate and spoke very highly of it! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic little gem tucked away off a Main Street. There was a great selection and the food was exceptional quality and a good sized portion. It was a little expensive but it was very good. The vibe was hipster cafe so very laid back and informal. It’s also very small not much seating.

Delicious blend of Japanese and Caribbean dishes, all in central Amsterdam. Portions are not massive for the prices, though it is central Amsterdam and we could feel that care had been put into the creation of the dishes. The food balanced being tasty and healthy well. It manages to have both a slightly hectic and laid back vibe at the same time; with dreamy artwork on the walls, the possibility for shared seating at busy times, and an order at the counter arrangement. We went late in the evening so it was quiet though can imagine it may get busy as it’s only a small place in a central spot. The workers had a warm energy, we enjoyed chatting with them.

Had to leave after 20 minutes of waiting for an order to be taken, realising how rundown the place is, menu cards made very poorly, seat pillows dirty, and toilet door going directly to a bunch of dining tables, which is normally prohibited by sanitary regulations. Not to mention that the toilet seat was made from wood. I think the owners misunderstood what it means to be eco-friendly. So the place was so dirty looking that trying out the food was not even worth the risk.

I ate there yesterday and I think this was one of the best foods I ever had. Never had any sweet potato fries that were that good, really crunchy outside and so soft on the inside. The vegan plate was also really good with the highlight being the vegan chicken and tempeh, and wow were those good. I am still thinking sbout the food today and will probably be for some time more. Definetly coming back next time in Amsterdam.

I liked this place on sight, a big Vegan painted on the window alongside various AR stickers, a grubby menu and the place was packed out. So packed that I left the first night and decideed to come back when it was less busy, the waitress just looked so over worked!
Read moreNext night with a partner in gastronomic debauchery on board I returned. We both agreed the okonomiyaki looked a bit "flat" but tasted great as did it all though the home made ramen noodle dish was a tad too spicy for my taste.
The waitress was overworked again but less so and was super sweet and friendly.
There was only one dessert available and it was a shame it was not a Japanese style onebut I had it anyway!
Next time I'll try the Jamaican stuff!
Pros: Large all vegan menu, Delicious, Friendly staff not pretentious.
Cons: A bit busy, Limited dessert menu.
