Bland roast

Had the Sunday roast. It was fine and reasonably priced. But the carrots and kale were boiled so didn’t taste like much. The gravy was watery so also didn’t taste like much. Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were good. The vegan roast chicken was fine but, especially with such watery gravy, a bit boring. It only really tasted of salt. So overall it was fine, nothing awful but lacking flavour.

A friendly pub

We have been to many folk music sessions in this friendly pub.
We were so pleased to see that they now have several vegan options on the menu.
The waitress clearly understood what vegan is about and was helpful and could explain the menu.
The food was delicious and the service was really good and the bill was less than expected
