Bad service and bland vegan food

I got the cauliflower steak and it was a bland and pathetic excuse for meal. Someone else at my table got a meat dish and they said it was way too salty. The service was just bizarre, we had four different servers at the table who were absent and pretty unhelpful. If they were very busy I would understand but it just felt disorganised. The menu said they automatically add a 20% tip for groups of six or more, there were only three of us and they added on a 22% onto our bill. They wanted to take the card away from the table to pay (I'm not sure if this is standard practice in the US, but it seemed odd) without mentioning the tip and were extremely offended when we wanted to give less for poor service and overpriced food.

Good Vibes

First time here. Found it on the list of top 10. Interesting places to eat in New York City. Good vibe. Packed inside. Lots of people were excited to be there. Menu was easy to read. Server was very friendly. They have a smashed avocado toast, but they can modify without the cheese to make it vegan. They also have a clearly labeled vegan stirfry available on the menu. That’s my choice. It was good. Smaller portion size that I would’ve liked, but it was tasty.
