Great loaded fries

They do junkfood really well. The venue is also pretty cool, however the lighting was a bit dark for eating.

Pros: Good food, Cool venue, Good service

Downmarket bar. Good vibe

Disaster. It appears the the Flying Duck has ceased to provide food. Very sad.

A pretty different choice to the other city centre outlets. Much of menu seitan based. Variable output both in time and quality. ( had brick hard seitan once). Good choice of beers. Down in the basement so if you like looking out the window you're out of luck! Takes a wee bit of finding if you're new to Glasgow albeit city centre. It's not obvious where the door is so can appear closed.

A sad decline

Used to be quite good, but now joins the ranks of stereo and mono etc as being bland at best.

Lacks in atmosphere but makes up in food

It’s a great location being so close to the bus station and cinema. Menu isn’t overwhelming, reasonable prices. I like that the cheesy nachos have a cheese sauce rather than just grated Violife! Also that they make the sour cream in house. Atmosphere can be a bit off, especially as it’s underground.

Rough around the edges but still great

For a long time I held this to be my favourite vegan restaurant and while it still holds a place in my heart, I don't know if I can truly say that any more.

That being said, it is a great place. The menu changes quite often but there is usually an excellent special anyway (both main and dessert). I remember one Burns' night they did this lovely special that years later I can still almost taste. The atmosphere is great, the location is easy to get to and the place itself is just really neat. There's something very cool about descending into the dark painted hallway and the only evidence you're heading toward a restaurant and not a basement maintenance area being the noise of the restaurant goers inside.

However, it does seem like things are always just kind of hanging on by a thread. The service can be quite slow, the portion sizes vary in size over time, they had a big problem with being able to serve chips for a while (they then did but then stopped again), and it seems like only a handful of the sinks in the gender-neutral toilets work.

Regardless of any negatives it's still a place I'd highly recommend for a visit and for a revisit.

Lack of options and rude staff

The expectation was very high. The place was okay, but they don't have many options anymore like Burgers. They only serve burritos, tacos and toasties. Even they don't serve many options inside these categories. The waitress said only, “no, and we don’t have” for many things. Also, the staff was so rude when we ask something or for the bill.

Pros: Burritos, Craft Beer, Music

Cons: Lack of options, Rude staff

Outstanding

Incredible food in the heart of Glasgow! Wouldn’t have spotted it had it not been for google but WOW it was amazing! Portion sizes were huge, meal was so incredibly satisfying, and my omni partner loved it. I had the chipotle burrito and he had the philly cheese steak sandwich. We both also had nachos and the cheese was delicious and thick (not like melted plastic), and just amazing overall. A main with the sides plus a drink each (one wine, one coke) was just over £30 and we definitely didn’t need dessert after!

Pros: Full vegan comfort food menu, Not expensive, Amazing portion sizes

Cons: Took a little while for food to arrive

Perfect comfort food

If you’re looking for food to kill that terrible hangover, this is the place. Super yummy, comforting sandwiches and sides. And really nice service! I gave four stars because the place itself is not the cosiest in my opinion.

Relaxed atmosphere, fully vegan

This is a cool, underground, fully vegan bar/restaurant which sells lots of great food. I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always loved it. Most recently I had a kebab and a White Russian. Would recommend!

Nice place

We ate here on a recent trip to Glasgow. It was a shame to be underground on a beautiful evening but we were very hungry!
We had the chicken burger and the chilli cheese fries - be warned that the latter is VERY filling! The burger had good spice and the loaded fries were delicious but overwhelming!
We hadn't booked but this wasn't a problem.
Relaxed vibes. Be aware that the staff would prefer you to wait at the door to be seated: the sign isn't really that clear.

Pros: Good food, Central location

Cons: Underground

Good food

We ordered two mixed kebabs for delivery. They were reasonably priced and the meat substitutes were really nice. My partner felt that there was too much red cabbage in his kebab (personal preference). The staff kept us updated when there was an issue with the delivery company which we really appreciated.

Good

Nice place to go with friends. Options are fairly standard but great if burgers/hotdogs/kebabs are what you’re looking for. Found the doner kebab unusually spicy for a kebab, so take note if you’re not a fan of spice.

Pros: Good selection of drinks

Cons: Fairly typical vegan options, burger/hotdog/kebab, On the pricier side

Took Omni family there and they were impressed, especially with the cake, but they didn't like the edgy toliet aesthetic

Hidden Gem!

This is a fully vegan ‘junk’ food restaurant. Serves burgers, hot dogs and kebabs. I had a German kebab and loved it. Really good value for money as well, 4 of us eating dinner including drinks and cocktails was just over £60.

Pros: Really good value , Fully vegan, Independent business

Cons: Underground so no windows.

Lovely hotdog!

Just incase you almost miss it like us, it's a small entrance that takes you downstairs, on the opposite side of street from the Pavilion. Stopped in on way to train for some early dinner. Was quiet - 4pmish - ordered American hotdog and fries, very tasty! Lovely atmosphere and staff, would def recommend a visit!

Good to be back

The first place I went when I first went vegan and always loved the divey bar vibe. Recently reopened after a long hiatus due to covid and it still has the same vibe. The vegan food here is all great but I feel that their seitan doner really shines brightest. Delicious!!

Pros: Chill atmosphere , Staff are great and friendly , In a basement

Cons: Possibly could do with smaller side dishes
